Just came home to Sever, Cupola, and the PE CW upgrade kits sitting on my front step.  


I'll be opening them very shortly.

To thin chroming so the black plastic behind shines through....

 

I'm conflicted on one hand I'm loving Sever but I have zero interest in Spending 200 on Soar and just want the other 4. I could display it as the season 1 Dinobots but then there's Snarl just there and Stomp isn't till December.

 

Yep, got my shipping notice several days ago, and I was a week late making my payment  

 

Swoop and Snarl were part of Season 1. War of the Dinobots, in which they were introduced, was episode 8 of season 1, or episode 11 if you count the MTMTE miniseries as part of the first season (which I do).

 

Thought they were introduced in season 2! damn still conflicted over getting just the original 3 or all four minus Soar cause he's like my least favorite.

 

Sever, soar, cupola, wardog, tesla, smokescreen, and prowl all showed up today. Overwhelmed at the moment, but damn if I can't stop looking at that stegosaurus mode. Love that head sculpt.

 

I like a lot about Sever, but I think my favorite part might be the tail. The way I've got him posed in dino mode makes his backside very visible from certain angles, and I gotta say it's all about that bass with Sever. I don't know what it is, but baby got back.

 

Yeah that Dino profile from front-diagonal just really works, the tail, the back plates, the hump, and the head jumps out of the cartoon for me.

 

thats 2 maybe 3 trips off the truck. or a dolley i guess. nicely done

 

It's such a thrill shooting this guy to bring out that gold chrome.

i had one of my detlof doors open.. i was handling sever..


forgot door was open.. went to put him up on top of detolf shelf to stand him next to warbotron.... i rammed my sever into the top corner of the detolf door hard enough to knock the silver stopper a jar and chipped the chrome on one of severs plates! im so pissed at my stoned ass. im not going to let myself play with my toys when im high anymore.. or not


really im just worried the chrome will start peeling. looks like it wont, but difficult the future is to see

 

I was going to say the same thing. He looks a lot better without his boots. I wonder how much closer to the camera he actually is.

It's a great picture, though. I was going to do one similar (but probably not as nice) but I have them all in dino mode right now and, since that's how I want them at the moment, haven't worked up the energy to transform them all to robots.

I feel your pain - I lifted a chip of chrome off his dino-face simply by applying an Ocean symbol to him - the surrounding plastic film took a bit right off about half an inch away from the actual sticker, no pressure applied or anything. Doesn't give me high hopes these are going to make very good hand-me-downs...

I already had to replace the head on my Soar because it had a chrome bubble defect, I don't think CapturedPrey is going to entertain replacing another piece for me on this guy. Of course if they're reading this and think otherwise, holla!

 

CP is great with customer service, and I'm fairly certain they'd help you out. I wouldn't hesitate to ask for a replacement if I were you. Now is pretty much your only chance or forever hold your peace
