It's been a hope by a lot of members on the boards that some company will have an updated Rodimus Prime mold. I personally don't like the DX9 figure, but to each their own.
They will. Soon as I drop the £160 on the TT reissue that I'm tempted with, it will happen...and probably be much better! I have DX9 Carry and its a great figure, just a bit too stylised compared to the other 86 movie bots I have.
A mod had mentioned in the past to get their attention faster to just report a post. I don't believe reporting has an actual negative impact if there isn't an actual problem with the post. Only Mods/Admins can change thread titles.
Yup! Reports just send an alert to mods with a pop up if we're around....there isn't a negative result from doing a "report" in any automatic, system generated way.
Dear god don't do it. I did. Its a steaming pile of shit. I cannot stress how much buyers remorse I felt as I unpacked it. The gimp hands. The way he can't make a pose. The stupid "hey look rodimus can also still be hot rod, look" gimmick. I would rather army build with broken omnigonix spin outs than have this figure.
They probably figured TT would get around to it eventually. Wouldn't want another Acoustic Wave or Quakewave reissue disaster.
I'm hoping for both a Rodimus and a Magnus. Though I will admit I was disappointed with their Hot Rod.
Wouldn't mind it. Carry is too stylised for my liking (looks great still though) and the MP... Looks like that creepy salad fingers meme from years ago on YouTube.
I think some day but unlikely that it is any time soon. they have already done Hotrod, kup, blurr, springer, and arcee. They clearly have love for the movie bots but they are in the middle of doing 2 massive combiners, mini bots, and triple changers(not to mention Fort Max). I just think their focus has shifted for the moment and it will be a little while before they shift back to the movie stuff
Given his importance and popularity (I know a lot don't like him also), I'm kinda surprised that so few attempts have been made to produce an MP Rodimus or even Hot Rod. Both Takaras and Fanstoys Hot Rods fell short in different ways and there's so much room for improvement if another company wanted to tackle it. Then there's Rodimus. Carry is nice but is way too stylised to be considered a stand in for the current MP line. MP9 was ahead of its time and suffered for being too ambitious. With more modern engineering surely someone out there could pull it off? I'm sure XTB could nail the sculpt but what would they or any other company, do about the transformation?
