I find it odd that for all the hype the figure got, it hasn't sold out yet. Or maybe I'm looking at it wrong. I'm tempted to get one as well.

Spindfirt is worth the $100 IMO. Vastly superior to that V1 POS.

 

$400 for Silverbolt is fucking batshit crazy territory. Look, I may not be a shining example as I spent pretty much car payment territory on 2 Insecticon sets, but that shit ain't worth $400. Guess i'm sitting pretty for the reissue.

I think it was Luckyman made the suggestion that Smokey (although not technically a triple changer, neither is he Thomas) has some more advanced engineering and so will Bandit. Having Iceman and Goose turn into shins (essentially a box) is probably a touch easier than Hollywood and Viper having to have articulated waists that also act as bicep swivel and bend. Something neither Iceman and Goose possess.

 

It's a fantastic figure. $70 is a great price for it.

 

I don't hate Maverick, but I definitely don't like how thick his torso is, and all of their Aerialbots are a bit too big and bulky for my idealized image of them from the cartoon. However, they do still look great all that aside. On a side note, anyone know what happened to the other thread @Fortynickel started? Seems to have been deleted.

 

Does anyone know where I can find magnum? Smokey and spoiler are on sale but magnum isn't even in stock anywhere.

 

Looks like Robotoybase has him instock. I've bought a couple things from them in the past and didn't have any issues.

Yes, from my experience, Terry’s a great seller. He packages things well and ships pretty promptly.

 

I present my case for the claim TE-01 is actually an FT rebranded

1. Graffiti style box art reminiscent of FT
2. QC stickers, not the same ones but similar
3. Foam inserts reminiscent of FT
4. A clear dedication to cartoon accuracy
5. Emphasis on sculpt over articulation
6. Pure witchcraft engineering
7. The fact that FT has already contracted figures to “other” companies
8. Even though rumored to be actively avoiding releasing product that consists of the “iconic 6”, We now have Soundwave…...rebranded
9. Transform Element seems to be “out of their element” with this figure as the quality is leagues better than that of their follow up release.


Obviously a lot of other 3P products check some of these boxes as well, but not as many as TE-01 imo
