I would definitely agree that the giga dinos dates are more placeholder than anything. They seem to take their sweet sweet time getting these out. Eventually I have confidence they will complete the set but not on any sort of expedited timeframe

Yeah, I’m not sure how they’ll work but while I think @Hoffman is right that they won’t do two September releases (this just seems like TF Source putting in the last release date they had from Giga as a placeholder rather than “unknown”) I also am not sure that it’ll span the next six or seven months.

TF Source, for all of their faults, update their release dates every month and if a figure slated for a June release isn’t out yet, some time in the first week of July, they usually will adjust it to say July. ShowZ will leave release dates untouched for months or longer unless you provide them with new information.

They do list the incoming status once they’ve been billed by the manufacturer - TF Source only offers these updates if you call.

About a month ago I messaged bababobo Through his site and asked if there was an ETA on the remaining dinos, and he basically just said they are coming when they are coming. So that’s the best information I’ve been able to get directly on this

It probably is not more technical than that at the moment. I just know that I’m not paying off the rest of my Graviter or Gaudenter deposit until that thing is in someone’s hands ready to ship.

The guy at Robo Toyz told me to expect to want to pay off FT Stomp by the end of July and FT Soar by the end of August. He specifically added that he thinks that the listed ETAs for these are inaccurate.

Take it for what it’s worth.

I’ve made the mistake of fully paying for POs with uncertain release dates once too many times And now I’m very wary about it. I have paid for and IT-01 On show Z and the date just keeps changing every month and I’m pretty frustrated by it. Plus those Thundercat super seven figures. And Apache to a degree as well kept getting pushed back, Although I did finally get that the other day. It’s not even the waiting that bothers me, it’s the anxiety the uncertainty gives me about paying for something that may or may not ever come out

I'd honestly be surprised. Here I thought they were gonna be treated kinda like the X releases, a flash in the pan never to be seen again. Absolutely interesting to hear, though.

Speaking of Dinobots though, any word on the other 3 for general reissue following Swoop and Sludge, by chance?

Golly, they'll do just about anything to avoid completing those combiners. FT Procrastination!

I have chalked all of these reissues up to “funding combiner research”

Especially true for the G2 Dinobot repaints.

"Hmm... Maybe this solid-metal Menasor will stay standing if we paint it blue?"

I just got stunticon number 4 so I’m officially qualified to start complaining about where number five is

I haven’t seen anyone ask recently (or complain) but of this recent barrage of releases, did most eventually find a shop with stock of what they needed?

Other than the 30 minutes when TF Source’s site was running rough (Tesla day), I haven’t had any issues.

I’m not sure all of the people complaining are being completely genuine, so I’m not saying that their complaints are valid.

My experience has largely been like yours. Some sites have crashed while I was trying to snag the bugs. Some were sold out, so I had to go elsewhere and pay an extra $20. But everything I’ve wanted, I’ve gotten.

Yeah, I'm finding the "scarity" a little overblown. I was panicking when stomp first went up as he was one of 2 old fans toys I've been looking for, for a long time. I was relieved when I was able snag him on the first night, but I have had the casual opportunity to snag the pre-order at a couple different stores 6-7 times.

Don't give up people, keep checking back. I have 8-9 stores I cycle through and I'll usually see the pre-orders up there. As for ones like chomp and Tesla, I feel like as we get closer to release, people will cancel pre-orders and once they're released, you'll likely be able to snag them.
