I just secured my purple chest set. I wasn't going to be greedy. But it's worth it for them opposed to scalping prices.

I'm guessing people got cold feet when BBTS said they're getting close to shipping the bugs. I know I am tempted to let go of my preorder.

People on the boards do the exact same thing…

A manufacturer jacks up their prices? All is fine because “you don’t have to buy it; after all, they’re a business, not a charity.”

But are you an individual selling a figure you really wanted to keep because buyers started paying an insane premium for it? “What an asshole you are for doing the same thing on a much smaller level than the company I just lauded for not being a charity did!”

People take sides based on who they think will win and who makes them feel strong. That’s why the worst users on the boards basically see themselves as ‘benevolent trolls’ like a certain British activist does: It’s easy to label yourself the victor when you only show up after the score is settled.

 

I hope BBTS doesn't blackball me for canceling my FT bugs. I saw that TerryTFSclub had them for a cheaper price. Saved me ~ $50 since BBTS charges taxes and shipping.

I always think that canceling is going to be a real problem for the retailers, but the few times it’s happened, they were really easy to deal with.

Kool Toyz let me order the gray FT bug set in place of the other with no hassle and I’m considering throwing back one of my Dinobot preorders too. As much as I dislike doing it, I think they’re usually tolerant.

 

Some retailers are more tolerant of cancellations than others. I mean if I am a retailer, I can't assume that my customers will come through 100% of the time. Unexpected last minute money issues are unfortunately pretty common ...

 

If u just remove them from ur po list before being charged they dont care. If u have been charged and u make a habit of it then yes they will "blackball" u.

 

I think most fanstoys the should be caring since 1 minute after you cancel other guy buys it!

 

I see what ur saying but i doubt they keep track like that....."this guy cancelled 10 fanstoys figures but this other guy cancelled 6 marvel legends and 4 fanstoys so we are banning this guy and not the other"
