That's correct, no mention of ETA and we didn't even know about a potential FansToys Blurr until Dalianjj mentioned it recently.

If there's an ETA or expected order of release, I've tried to include that information under the "Upcoming Figures" section.

It looks like FansToys gave us 6 new molds in 2016 and 8 new molds in 2017... so it would be reasonable to hope for another 6-8 molds in 2018. There's also a lot of demand for FansToys reissues as well - it would be interesting to know if reissued figures will limit the production of newer figures.

 

I wish FT would take on the task of doing their own version of Jazz. He was definitely my favorite of the original autobots back in the day. I still have yet to see something that I can really say I want to spend my money on. Yes, I know people will probably say that Downbeat is the closest so far, but still not close enough for me to spend. I sure wish FT would take a stab at him.

Agreed. Also hope FT, TT or someone else do Mirage as I'm not impressed with the current offerings.

 

I think Sphinx is as good as my Takara Autobot cars, but I agree... I'd love to see FansToys do a Mirage or any of the car bots. My Willis/Hound is great, but I know a lot of people complained about loose ankles. I hope they nail Trailbreaker - that's the upcoming figure that I'm looking forward to the most.

You know that most comments here are hoping that Fanstoys will do this and Fanstoys will do that. It just goes to show the amount of respect we all have for Fanstoys doing a great job with just about anything they tackle.

 

Add a G1 Grinder head reissue to this list! I was buying some replacement FT dino parts, and while speaking with them I had asked about buying the G1 dino head directly and I was told it was told... "Just wait for the reissued re-release of the item. But that at this time they didn't not have a set date for it yet." So I guess we can look forward to that if you do not have the head yet to upgrade Grinder.

I agree on Trailbreaker. However, it will be difficult to make a better Mirage than MMC Sphinx.

 

I agree. I like Sphinx a lot. I don't feel like he's a stand-in figure while I wait for something better.

My biggest complaint, and where I could see FansToys making a notable improvement, is with the materials and finish. The red lines on my Sphinx chest has a small break and the build quality is not as good as my FansToys Willis. I don't know that FansToys could improve the transformation or sculpt though... Sphinx is really good.
