This original post is no longer being maintained. I would be delighted to see this data continue to be maintained/updated elsewhere - please denote credit as many people have contributed. I would encourage the community to track Fans Toys changes/updates as they occur. Real-time tracking removes a lot of future guesswork!

Personally, I have moved on for various reasons... Fans Toys is no longer an up and coming secret amongst collectors, @dalianjj is no longer interfacing with the community, I'm no longer able to obtain information on Fans Toys before it is officially announced, and I am no longer able to easily purchase Fans Toys figures from US retailers because they sell out immediately. I have also had a number of (positive) changes in my personal life.

While I remain enthusiastic for future figures and I'm delighted with the success that Fans Toys has earned, it is time for me to move on,

    All the best!

2019-03-14 - Added new figure mould(s)/ figure repaint(s)/ figure reissue(s) summary for each year. I do not include new/reissued accessory parts (like Grinder's head) in these totals. Terminus Giganticus was released as a part A/B and the entire figure... that scenario counts as 1, despite different packaging. I consider an issue like a clear Quakewave to be a "repaint" even though there's no paint involved. Our information is a little dicey on reissues, as there isn't always an announcement when a figure is being reissued... so if you have more accurate information, please share it with me!

Its awesome to see how they increase production every year! I know they are the go to joke for 3rd party delays but I think those days may be coming to an end. Their 2017 production volume was impressive!

No kidding!! I just ordered Apache today and pre-ordered Arcee... I was thinking "good lord, how many FansToys figures have I purchased this year?!?!?" I created a list and tried to fill in the rest.

It shows how much FansToys has grown and improved over a short period of time. I would imagine that the earlier success gave them the capital to produce more. That list doesn't even include the re-paints and re-issues. They manufactured a LOT more figures in 2017 than 2015.

Its interesting to see the shuffle of figures by the numbers assigned to them.

My only concern is we have a long list of figures to be produced yet and already know most of them. Does FT have anything to announce left and yet still get it out for 2018? Either Takara is going to announce Trailbreaker/Hoist and that drops those off FT's list to free up the lineup (maybe why the delay?) or they'll be more released under the other company, which has yet to put out any more info on Cyclonus though.

Either way, 2018 is going hurt the wallet more than usual, if FT keeps producing that many figures in one year.

Lupus was actually released at the tail end of 2016. I remember because I cancelled my order right before it was released, and it was going to be part of my black friday stack. I just double checked, and the reviews on Youtube are from the same date (Dec. 2016) as well.

Interesting. It's clear they've been pumping out more figures per year consistently. I think they whole "I can't wait until FTxx is released in 2045" joke may lose a lot of weight soon.

Especially considering that they released Terminus Giganticus this year. With its size and parts count, it had to have been a major logistical effort for them.

Pretty sure Scoria was released during the middle of 2014, June or July I believe.

Thanks for this. I frequently find myself wondering about 3P release schedules when I'm trying to think of my favorite figures of the year.

Damn... my first run Quakewave is going to be 5 years old soon. And I still prefer it over my MP Shocky...

    Time sure flies.

Forgot Grey Quakewave, Reissue Quakewave (slightly darker), Toy Quakewave, Crystal Quakewave, the G2 and X variant dinos, Smokey Scoria head, replacement Grinder head in normal, X and G2, Purple Omega Supreme, Cesium..

    Apart from that, yup.

edit - which I dont consider repaints as elements were changed, boxes, QC issues, Quakewaves hose, spare heads are still products, and so on.

I went back to try to pin the months down, and FT has had an insane 2017 with releases:

    Soverign - Jan. 2017
    Grinder - March 2017
    Phoenix - May 2017
    Spindrift - June 30/July 2017
    Terminus A - August 2017
    Terminus B - September 2017
    Cesium - September 2017
    Koot - November 2017
    Apache - December 2017

and that's not even counting Grinder D/G/X (Aug 2017), Grinder heads (Aug. 2017), and any reissues this did this year (I think Soar?).

I could definitely add those... FT-03T, for example. I just didn't try to dig in that deeply... when I started making the list I just wanted to see how many new molds FansToys were producing in a given year.

It's pretty amazing considering that Dalianjj did a trailer in 2006, then nearly produced a Soundwave in 2012, that was canceled... and Quakewave was the first figure produced. That's a 7 year span... fast forward to 2017 and they're doing so much more!

I think Devastator could be part of this list. It has been teased. As was Scourge.

Anyone have a similar list for some of the other big players? It would be fun to compare!
