I'll get back to you when I finally have it in my hands. I have a shelf full of FansToys, all official and many of the minibots, so I'll have something to say if it feels off. I don't have Jive but I've heard it was a mess and perhaps not up to FT's reputation. Hope we aren't seeing a trend here.

It’s got a little weight to it, but it’s not the usual Fanstoys feel. Even with small figures like cassettes or brawn, they usually feel deceptively heavy. This feels a lot like Maketoys, with a judicious use of diecast instead of 80% metal. It’s also not as tight with tolerances. My Maketoys Downbeat and Gundog did not feel as solid as Jive and Willis. The Maketoys were more prone to being floppy. Fanstoys, despite the excessive diecast, usually didn’t move unless you WANTED it to move. Parkour isn’t holding that same metric as well as most fantoys. I really think the closest comparison I can give him is honestly Maketoys Downbeat. A good, worthy purchase, but something is just off from Fanstoys usual game. I would still highly recommend.

Wasn't planning on getting this guy but I've been seeing the pics and he just looks so good. Still not a fan of chibi alt modes but I'm getting to the point where the bot mode is important enough to me to offset an alt I don't like. Besides, the Cliffjumpers with good alt modes have atrocious bot modes.

Was looking at him on bbts yesterday but didn't pull the trigger cuz I'd burned this month's budget already and I was hoping to catch him at one of the Chinese retailers for less. Checked again today and bbts is sold out so fomo got me and I found him on TCP and paid even more   (more after factoring in shipping - bbts uses $4 flat rate plus I've got a few things in my pile of loot I could've combined shipping with). I guess that'll teach me.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bombus sent it without informing us. Jive and Phantasm just showed up on my doorstep at some point. I didn't know that bombus had already sent them.

Settled up the balance a week ago and still showing as ‘awaiting shipping’ on the order dashboard.

I don’t recall BBB being that slow. Having said that ShowZ have been getting the lion’s share of my cash so I couldn’t say if BBB are taking longer to process as I’ve not been using them frequently.

Oh well- plenty of other figures to keep me busy until when this one finally makes an appearance.

 

BBB has sometimes been slow changing the status in your account or sending an email, but they've been pretty solid with shipping. Kinda sucks not knowing, but at the same time its a nice surprise to get a tracking number and see its only a few days from delivery.

Anyway, mine has shipped and this time around they're on it with email and updated to "shipment shipped" in my account.

I had been using BBB a while ago quite a lot. I still have a number of FT POs (Swerve/Gears/Powerglide off the top of my head come to mind) with them which I will complete the purchases on when balances can be settled.

I paid the balance on Parkour before they sent the email request. I emailed them to make sure all was ok given I’d beaten them to it and they confirmed all was good.

Anyway, I’ve got so many figures unopened across the lines and a ton of JoyToy Warhammer 40k to open up to catch up on I can really wait on this. I’m of an age where I don’t have to be the first to have it etc…haha.

I might get round to transforming MP Jetfire today which I didn’t do at the weekend. I need to look at the connection that firms up the fuselage in alt mode so that doesn’t have a sag to it. I think Parkour will display well with this.

 

I think Bombusbee actually ships out before the agreed Fanstoys date, knowing that shipping will take at least a week anyway so no harm done. They just don't tell us that it's been shipped while it's usually already well underway.
