After I pre-ordered two figures twice, I started to write down my preorders. (I use a Note on my phone.)

Some of my preorders are old -- the oldest being Parkour from July 2021. It also reminds me what I've preordered and what's not. (I write down potential preorders in the same note.)

 

Lol I was just now gonna ask if you guys wonder how FT came up with the name Parkour for Cliffjumper but then I had a moment of "Ahhhhhh!!.!! I get it now!" Hahahah

We all know what we got into preordering with BBB and showz, waiting is the game for saving $10.

 

I'm very old, so I like lists. I have a document that lists all of my different Transformers collections in sections (Spy Changers, Legends of Cybertron, Siege, Iron Factory, et cetera). The sections contain all of the released/announced figures that I want. If they haven't been released yet, they're in grey. If I've ordered them, they're in italics. If I actually have them, they're in italics and bold.

Like you, after I ordered a figure twice by accident I kept track like this. Helps me see what I need, what I've got, what's coming out, and what I've ordered. Yes, a spreadsheet would be more efficient but I like crossing things off lists. And it's very satisfying to mark off all the entries in a section as 'got'...

A lot of people dislike his content, but I love his honesty, and in the cases where the mistakes are on him, it makes me do some thinking about how figures are designed. A truly intuitive figure would be fluid and not let the user get themselves into frustrating situations easily.

Upon revisiting the transformation, I think a lot of my frustration has been with how hard it is to peg/unpeg things. As some have mentioned, a lot of hooking tabs, which are fine when you have video instructions, but dangerous after a few months or years if you forget which side needs to come undone first or which way to apply pressure. It was definitely easier the second time around, but unfortunately I don't think I have a new desk toy on my hands.

All that being said- this is probably my favorite minibot in my collection right now. Something about his sculpt and presence just hits all the right buttons for me. It'll be a crying shame if Fanstoys doesn't use this as a base for a Bumblebee.

I’m about to say something mediocre that someone will read and insult me about, probably. But-

I got this figure today. It’s kinda just like, fine. I don’t know, I guess the problem is me but with every FT release of a figure that somebody else already made I just get more bored. Again, I don’t think it’s the figure’s fault. It’s me.

I would criticize Bobby from time to time, but overall I still think he's better than most Youtube reviewers. At least he makes his biases clear and yes everyone has a bias.

 

Anyone know of where to get this from? ANy sites?

 

I did not know that they take longer to get stock everything that I have preorded shipped when it came out but this is only my second fanstoys....

 

It is my first time dealing with Bombusbee. Do they usually take longer to get preorders out?

 

this may be the first time I regret not pre-ordering a bot. I’m just sitting here in envy (fomo) waiting for stock to show up somewhere that’s not taxing the price

 

Every place in China will be a month behind on Fans Toys everytime! But will also be cheaper.

 

I'll never understand how anyone can dislike alt modes on minibots. They're so cute and charming.
