Personal preferences. I love the LOTR score, so any excuse to listen to it is fine by me. I prefer orchestral scores to rap, dubstep, house, or any of the other migraine-inducing tripe “influencers” like to use.

However you are absolutely correct that I bought the official 1.0. Looked good at the time! Not as accurate as 2.0, but much less ugly for sure (I don’t own 2.0 by the way).

 

It's not perfect but I still really like the 1.0. Probably replace it when the eventual Fanstoy version is released though

 

Cliffjumper is mouthy and fiesty. Hobbits are reserved and passive. The song makes me angry with with cj lol

 

Can't wait to have a proper Cliffjumper in the collection, and hopefully a Bumblebee next. The Ark crew is starting to fill out nicely. Now if only we could get a proper Tracks....

 

I would love to see a third party like Transform Element, Fans Toys....even X-Transbots, do a decent Tracks.

 

That face is looking very pale, almost white, Guessing FT didn't follow through with the grey face after all...

Well, that looks all kinds of not fun.

 

The solid blue rear windscreen is a bit nasty but the robot mode looks great, and as I'm not really a fan of chibi alt-modes generally he'll probably stay in robot mode 99% of the time anyway.

 

Bit of close stuff on the legs, and I can see a few people missing the small pieces that get noted in the video, but not a horrid transformation.

The alt mode looks less chibi than MP45, in terms of size.

 

Glad I bought 2 Cliffjumpers. Transforming one of them. I'll have both modes and not drive myself crazy trying to transform him ever again. I'm not good at transforming these things. Practice makes perfect but I don't like to waste a couple hours transforming a toy.

 

Hmm, hopefully it's a bit better in-hand. The transformation doesn't look entirely fun, but on the other hand, after a few run-throughs I came to really enjoy Jive's transformation. I think the biggest disappointment for me is the head sculpt - he has a very big pointy nose and the sculpt just fails to evoke Cliffjumper (for me). It looks quite generic and similar to some other 3P head sculpts. It's a shame, and a bit of a step backwards, as I thought Jive's head sculpt was superb and absolutely nailed Jazz.

I recently paid the balance so look forward to checking him out anyway - he's certainly the best Cliffjumper we have to date - but I'm one of the crazies that actually likes MP-45 and hopes Takara does their Cliffjumper (I know that puts me in the minority).   I definitely prefer the Takara face sculpt.

 

This is looking fantastic, getting pretty excited. Can't wait for the inevitable bumblebee.

 

Transformation looks like a pain. Unfortunately it seems the fun transformations of their earlier S1 minibots were the exception. That being said, both modes still look breathtaking, and MP45 isn’t a walk in the park to transform either. Excited to get this in hand soon!
