I think, at least at the MP scale, I didn't really need anything post Season 3. But I got Maketoys Hardhead and Chromedome on a black Friday sale and I liked them will enough, so I picked up Lupus and Dracula back when it looked like Maketoys was doing the Autobots and FT was doing the Decepticons. Frankly, I thought they were both pretty mediocre. I guess a couple things have changed since Dracula. I've given up on Maketoys finishing the Autobots, so while Chomp completes a set is a subset of a larger, still incomplete set. The crazy aftermarket and pandemic pricing have jacked FT's prices from personally worth it to "I can afford it but I'd rather use that money on something else" territory, especially for characters I didn't really need in the first place. There seem to be fewer players in the MP space now, and XTB has the same markup fever, which is starting to cool me on MPs in general. Besides, if I quit upgrading figures for better ones and actually write off anything after Season 3 I'm almost done. Heck, if I dump Season 3, too, I might actually be down to just Defensor. Plus, I should point out that I started collecting MP because I was into CHUG but I never believed if actually get a complete cartoon cast at that scale, from Hasbro or 3P. WFC, with a couple of Prime Wars stand-ins, had kind of flipped that script. No, they're not MP-quality, but many of them are quite good and it's kind of refreshing to buy a couple figures on Pulse or Amazon I can actually mess without spending the same on toys in a month as my car payment.
