I think, at least at the MP scale, I didn't really need anything post Season 3. But I got Maketoys Hardhead and Chromedome on a black Friday sale and I liked them will enough, so I picked up Lupus and Dracula back when it looked like Maketoys was doing the Autobots and FT was doing the Decepticons. Frankly, I thought they were both pretty mediocre.

I guess a couple things have changed since Dracula. I've given up on Maketoys finishing the Autobots, so while Chomp completes a set is a subset of a larger, still incomplete set. The crazy aftermarket and pandemic pricing have jacked FT's prices from personally worth it to "I can afford it but I'd rather use that money on something else" territory, especially for characters I didn't really need in the first place. There seem to be fewer players in the MP space now, and XTB has the same markup fever, which is starting to cool me on MPs in general. Besides, if I quit upgrading figures for better ones and actually write off anything after Season 3 I'm almost done. Heck, if I dump Season 3, too, I might actually be down to just Defensor. Plus, I should point out that I started collecting MP because I was into CHUG but I never believed if actually get a complete cartoon cast at that scale, from Hasbro or 3P. WFC, with a couple of Prime Wars stand-ins, had kind of flipped that script. No, they're not MP-quality, but many of them are quite good and it's kind of refreshing to buy a couple figures on Pulse or Amazon I can actually mess without spending the same on toys in a month as my car payment.

Imagine FT stuff started getting KOed. wonder why it hasn't happened already. Is there an FT mafia keeping that from happening? Lol

The Deep State, the CCP, the Davos crowd, they are all backing FT!!!

People who own FT products will own something after The Great Reset. Everyone else will have nada.

Isn't the CCP involved with virtually every company in China?

I heard they put trackers in the QC stickers that cause autism.

Totally. FT knows exactly how many holes are left to fill by 40 yr old collectors. While there are plenty of legitimate reasons for prices to rise, there's also no way FT's hasn't considered that a large group of their buyers are on the way out, and they should take advantage of the situation before the 3P market goes through a big shift, or begins to dry up.

I feel like my fans toys hype has levelled off after Chomp. I have backup preorders at ShowZ and usually I run out to a local place to get it locked down but I think I’m good just waiting for ShowZ to get around to it.

Doubt they will get KOed. X-transbots just took legal action against a company KOing their product. I beleave in China the mindset is that it's ok to steal IP or designs from outside of China but not from with in.

Takara's MP cars would probably demand a high secondary market had they not been KOed to death. The only MP cars that hold their value are the plus versions because they haven't been KOed.

I bought Chomp but his prices is on par with the new Takara seekers and has significantly less articulation and accessories. This is price gouging.

Basically money/who you know/power. I doubt their courts apply their "IP laws" unilaterally even within the scope of what it might dictate.

I got one in through Bababobo. It’s ridiculously pricey now. This figure is almost 2 times the cost of the first two. I don’t have either of those but my hope is they will reissue them at some point.

But that might be unzipping pandora's fly.
The idea might not have their crossed their mind yet to not honour it, or it might give them hope that customers were semi expecting it to not be honoured anyway.

    Interesting point.

I captured this screenshot 2 nights ago just before Baba removed the full price.

I wouldn't be surprised if FT makes a spelling error on the packaging so when it finally reaches all of us, it reads FT-51 Chump

Has more diecast and it has premium paint. The price is what it is i.e. many of us don't like it, but that does not mean that we are comparing apples vs apples here.

Also, Unique Toys, DX9, Maketoys, Fansproject, even MMC all of them had their products KOed at one time or another.
