That's a weird way of thinking about points IMO. Points are equivalent to cash, so you're still spending the full price really. Only coupons and sales reduce the actual prices -

People are complaining about the high price, but look at that: you get a bonus "O". More than worth the price, frankly.

 

The bonus O is where you put your green QC sticker for safekeeping. This is why I buy FT figures, the clever and thoughtful gimmicks pay for themselves.

And also it symbolizes the O-face you will get once you realized that you’ve just completed another team.

 

Surprised to see ball jointed shoulders on such an expensive piece. Though I guess they get the job done.

I’m starting a change.org petition right now to DEMAND the QC team go over the packaging materials, CHOOMP might seem funny but this could be a slippery slope to Dinoboots, Phangasm or Cannibal.

 

The gator foot in bot mode is interesting and I am torn. On the one hand it adds a little green to the bot foot. On the other hand they could have found a way to hide it for a cleaner look.

 

Someone posted earlier in the thread, like a few weeks ago I think, that they had the same thought at first, but then did some digging and realized that's it's actually toon-accurate. Obviously if you prefer a cleaner look, that's totally legit; I just mean that it seem less like laziness and more like design intent.

Or, well, you know, laziness that can be passed off as design intent.

Yeah. Yeah it does. And they're a change from the original design which looked to have hinged universal joints.

It's funny, the mainline collecting world lost its mind briefly when Studio Series Perceptor was revealed to have ball joints in the same place, yet here we are celebrating some very dated engineering and articulation from 3P's apparent best in class when the cost to enjoy it is at an all time high.

Can't deny it's a beautiful looking figure though.
