Got mine two days ago and I like it well enough. Still debating replacing Krank with him though. Anyone making a toy-style face to replace the default ones? That would clinch it for me - I can live without chrome arms but I hate most Toon-style minibot faces.

This is a deceptively cool little bot. Wasn't too excited about him when he was first shown but ordered one just in case I liked him.

Well, I do.....very much.

His ratchets feel good. His colors really pop.

Not sure about his two gripped firearm, though. Very difficult to get him to hold with both hands and look good. I guess it's passable, though.


Just a really cool little figure that I'm having a ton of fun messing with. Time to put him to work rustling up trouble makers.....

Mine arrived yesterday. I had the Badcube 2.0 version already and I'm honestly a little torn. The premium metallic paints on Fanstoys LOOK premium but almost diminish the cartoon centric feel to my eyes somehow. The Fanstoys is better in nearly every way- quality, proportions, physical toon look, etc. The plain plastic lends a cheapness to the Badcube but the colors are more vivid. The muted metallic paint on the Fanstoys somewhat kills the bright cartoon colors for me in a way. Will I swap out to Fans Toys? Most likely yes. But looking at them it's not quite as easy a decision as I expected...

 

Did anyone else get a Rig with a left shoulder that won’t stay tabbed in? The tab on the cab won’t stay in. Just pops out.

 

The shoulder issues are common unfortunately. I thought it was isolated to the left shoulder until a week or so back when people reported issues with the right one like you have.

Similar to my case. Take a look at my post on page 89. The cap has a tab that slots into the left shoulder to keep it in place despite the fact that it SHOULD be able to clip in. There will likely be a gap between the shoulder and the body that you can't get rid of. I've sent a note to Show.Z where I got mine from and asked them if anything can be done about it (doubt it) and mentioned others like me are having the same issue.

 

any tips on hooking him up to MP-44's trailer? Its just not working for me, but maybe I am missing something obvious??

 

As far as I'm aware (I don't have MP-44 to test) you just flip up the small tab in the middle of his alt mode that the gun also mounts on and then the trailer will hook onto that.

 

yes, understand the general concept and see how it is easy for most, but there has to be some sort of tolerance issue throwing me off ...

 

I haven’t tried it myself… would require transforming Rig again and digging MP-44 out of his box..

I'll trade you mine but it has a completely distorted right shoulder that doesn't come close to sitting flush against his chest.
