It's funny, I have preorders with them for every announced FT figure...except Bandit, who I missed because I never thought I'd invest in MP combiners back then...
So I'm completely dreading the bloodbath that will come when he's officially solicited.
[Pre-Order] FansToys FT-47 Huffer
ShowZ has him back up for pre-order. $30 non-refundable deposit.
That was meant for the guy freaking out he’d never get a preorder in. I trust most of those retailers will probably deliver so it’s fine but he’s not out of luck instantly like he’s afraid of.
I agree that he probably should do what you all are. But others like me still prefer to get things from US retailers more when definite stock is allotted. We’ve seen other places over sell preorders when they have no idea how much they’ll get and either not get the item or make people pray for a second wave that could cost more
Got lucky and was on Showz when it went back up. Also have badcube’s preordered if they don’t fix that face
You legit ruined this figure for me . I just dumped my preorder. The chest alone looking like that won me over even before noticing his face was off , ( which I could already tell ) .
Thanks, Show z is my go to most of the time and they've never messed up an order so far
I have one pre ordered on baba.. is there a way to cancel that? I can't find an option on there
$30 non-refundable is a no from me. If it turns out to be a turd I'm not getting stuck with it. Will stick with Baba.
Update: I snagged a Kingdom Huffer off the pegs at Target yesterday, and he's great. Sculpt, articulation, proportions are all meeting approval, and this fills my need for the character. I'll still take an OSKO of him for size, but for now, he'll do just fine. I can't lie: my dissapointment in this FansToys reveal likely influenced my decision, at least partly.
I've cancelled before by asking him in Messenger. Although usually had a better reason than 'buying it from your competitor'. Worth a try - he'll hardly struggle to sell it!
Thanks - I'll drop him a message later and see. I've got about 8 pre orders open on his site so I'm sure he won't take offence to one being cancelled
"Hours and hours" is a "long time?"
Compared to a Bandai pre-order "up for seconds, while the entire web-site suffers data bottlenecks and crashes and denies you your order anyways", hours is an eternity .
Everything is relative.
Does your life not revolve around preordering things that might come out in 8 months?
This unfortunately is going to turn into a thing we see more of because it's being supported. Show.z (and based on yesterday, any etailer) will have no problem selling an FT product but that etailer makes money now on a sale that might be cancelled and will turn into a second sale. We the collectors lose.
Yeah, it's quite the increase from the $1 their other pre orders have been.
Eh, not all of us. Higher, no refund deposits means that those of us who are 100% committed to buying the figure will have less competition from people who are less committed or who go around snagging a bunch of pre-orders just to have a safety net.
It's ridiculous behaviour all round. Maybe if the figure was a slam dunk, but it certainly isn't. Ugliest FT figure I've seen so far. As is, BC Huff is roughly half the price and does the job better so will probably end up on my shelf permanently. I'll keep my Baba PO *in case* they do fix all the problems with this design, but I won't miss $3 if not.
Really hope they get Perceptor, Cliffjumper and Trailbreaker done sooner rather than later. Would be nice to put my interest in this company to bed.
Hopefully they'll include face swaps or heads. They typically do even through other releases.
