that's the saddest part actually because a new FT collector will be f*kd up in many levels due to the FT community, in most FT groups on Facebook even the administrators themselves are hoarding FTs now, again Thomas being the biggest example, I've seen people selling him for 400$ saying "supply and demand bro, what's wrong with buying 15 Thomas and selling them after 1 month? I'm helping our community!" that's how sick and miserable the FT community is right now

If you wanted to HELP the community you would buy up a few and sell them at cost + shipping or maybe $20.00 for effort to secure. No one is doing anyone any favors by charging double price.

Oh it's all sorts of horrible, that's why I've come to view everyone else as competitors, at least when it comes to Fanstoys. We're all just rats clawing our way to the cheese, and there's not enough for everybody.

well, that's what most FT collectors do, also endorsing scalping with countless posts saying "I'LL SHOW U MY SUPER AMAZING INCREDIBLE PERFECT GREAT "insert FT figure" FIGURE! I PAID 200$ FOR HIM BUT YOU MUST PAY 400 RIGHT NOW HE'S WORTH IT BELIEVE ME OR EVEN MORE BUY HIM NOW NOW TFSOURCE HAS ONE FOR 450$ BUY HIM!" that's how low the FT community has fallen, literal Aranea-tier scalping

I dont really rate Fanstoys, they have some interesting designs but nowhere near good enough for me to overlook their business practices. I can forgive higher prices over TT due to economies of scale and all that but FT take the piss and I think it will hurt them long term.

Magic Square and New Age put out better figures at legend scale, hell, MFT Astrotrain is a better figure than FT Thomas at a 10th of the price.

Well Im one less competitor for you guys, I wish you luck in your collecting whatever your preference and niche is.

Got my pre-order in at ToyDojo. Thanks to @PazKim1, who is not a rat clawing for cheese, for the heads up!

Sometimes I have to remind myself we're just talking about toys here but comments like that - I just pity you.

Not sure if TD is less popular than TCP or what, but their website was a lot easier. No crashes today

Able to get my pre-order at ToyDojo as well. Fans Toys is still lame with this limited release crap. Getting the last Aerialbots and Stunticons, Soundwave and Blitzwing should be “fun”.

But your perception of limited supply is actually part of the problem. The supply is not as limited as you think and that was my original point that you missed. Thus no competition for someone like me. The demand is very clearly already there and sharing knowledge does not increase demand. Sharing knowledge simply provides accessibility.

There are far more options than you seem to realise and I was sharing one others may have missed that is conveniently priced better than the ones everyone is panicking over. You're viewing this through a limited scope that is skewing your judgement. Sounds like you're turning this into a race or something when we can just be smarter about it. Or.. Alternatively.. Start your engines guys! Vroom vroom!

I think you miss judge me. And you got my message all wrong. I’m saying that we as a community are NOT happy with the limited releases, quick sell outs, FOMO, and the extremely high prices FansToys is setting. But we as a community are also buying them. Paying the high prices, and buying them immediately as soon as pre orders hit. So regardless of our feelings our dollars speak louder than our opinions. Which means nothing will change as long as they keep selling out quickly and high.

Between TFSource, Chosen Prime and ToyDojo, do any of them charge sales tax? I live in California. I pre-ordered Tesla through TFS and CP. TFS is $10 cheaper than CP, but it looks like TFS might charge sales tax, in which case it would be more expensive. Anyone know?

I know Chosen Prime doesn’t charge sales tax and don’t think ToyDojo does.
