Yup, it has been posted before and that thing looks like a $220 bill to me.
Sorry man, i've pre-ordered this guy last year.
I understand you. I think the same. At 180 he's a no brainer. 220 is scratching your head a few times first before making a decision.
Hell, i would pay 2200 if he can mass shift and fit Devastator inside of him.
Good, now u own me $2200.
Man. I dont collect G1 anymore, but I want this. Looks tremendous.
As amazing as he looks front on, I do wonder how he's looking from the rear?
Screw it, just preordered at TCP
I’m excited to see he is 220. Gonna be some serious heft on this guy. 220 has me remembering the feels of taking stomp, grinder, Phoenix, and sovereign out of their box.
Dats racists yo!
(i kid, I kid, don't throw things....)
This is one of the few figures I can get without any static from the transformer hating wife... Months ago, I showed her the pics and the name.... which is my name and she thought it was pretty cool that I had a figure named after me. So I more or less have the ok to get it when it drops.
I wanna see some Photoshoped size comparisons with the Dinobots and with Apache. Somebody earlier said the Dinobots are way bigger than him, and he's about Apaches height and therefore should be 150 not 220 based on the price of those releases. I'm inclined to think he's similar in height to the dinos.
At least this isn't a price we've never seen from this company before on this scale. It's not like they pulled out a 300 price tag, the Dinobots being similar in price and all and they came out years ago.
No offense to Takara, but third parties like Fans Toys are putting the official stuff to shame. Probably because those involved in Fans Toys (and XTB, MMC, etc) have a lot more passion and dedication in making these compared to Takara. Although I am afraid to see how frustrating (hopefully it'll be fun) the transformation will be, the design, details, proportions, and accuracy is top notch. I'm excited for this one without a doubt!
From the front page
Man! He looks good! I'm stoked!
I wonder if @dalianjj can tell us what is special about the limited edition and if there is a regular version released
I wonder how much of the price increase is due to shipping.
We'll know once the MSRP price is released for the China market.
When MP Megatron was released for $220, it shocked a lot of people, but even that figure had tons of accessories and engineering to back it up.
In the meantime, 3p prices actually went down, to an average of $100- $120 for same sized figures.
Toyworld is releasing their Freedom Leader for $150-$180 and that's 12 inches with 3A quality paint.
The 18 inch Studio Cell Unicron is around $280-$300. Either figure has comparable engineering to whatever this figure could have.
$220 for a 9 inch FT figure just can't be justified.
I prefer him to be light tbh.
Sometimes I think people justify a price because it weighs a lot. Most times when people talk about FT figures they rave about how heavy it feels. Diecast is nice and FT figures sure are heavy, but the increase in price is a huge turn off. I'm already committed to their superion and luckily I am locked in for $115 on iceman, but it's gonna suck putting out $130 ea for the next two limbs.
I enjoy the heft of a solid, well-built figure. It doesn't determine the goodness of the figure, but it is nice.
I guess I missed it. How does the chest fin/work exactly? Thanks in advance
