Who is upset? Nobody is as far as I can tell. I am just disappointed, because FT makes really good realistic alt modes when they want, look at Berserk or Roadking. I still want to buy it, but at that price, I only would do it if its issues are fixed.

 

I feel you on this one. I wanted to get Thomas from Show Z this weekend but I just didn't feel like pulling the trigger. I know I'm going to get buyers remorse even at the lower price. I'm not going to gamble on the QC issues either. My track record with Fans Toys has not been good as far as aftermarket support goes.

Yeah my only complaint about him is that he gave me a false hope that Fanstoys' Blitzwing would also come out at some point in my lifetime.

 

I neeeed a G1 toy colour version. FT44 is pretty, but not my Astrotrain!

 

I can see them releasing a Toy or Comic color version, with Toy / Comic head.

 

Last I remember which was like… over 6 months ago, they said they weren’t planning on doing a toy version repaint of this figure.
Could that change? Maybe. Would I buy it? I absolutely would even if it sent me into bankruptcy.

 

Sold out just in time for me to wake up in a good mood.

I took him out and transformed him from train to bot mode. Still amazing after all this time. Definitely one of FT's finest offerings.

 

Just got Thomas in from Showz and man I struggled for 30 minutes with the booster section, absolutely have to do the top half first before the arms, what a chore. Also, didnt attempt train mode because one of my wings won't hinge down, it is super duper tight and I'm not about to force it and risk breaking it for an alt mode.

FansToys FT-44 Thomas Astrotrain

 

My question is why did release Astrotrain first instead of blitzwing? I mean there was no competition for Astrotrain when Fanstoys released their. I'm pretty sure Blitzwing is more popular than Astrotrain. Eventhough Blitzwing got redesigned from the renders, the announcement of Blitzwing was longer than Astrotrain. Were they trying to test their deception triple changer first with Astrotrain than with Blitzwing?
