I’ve found the Allspark. It’s Fanstoys Thomas.
Yes, I received my 2nd batch Thomas from TF-Robots a couple of weeks ago.
And if anyone is interested, they even have the 3rd batch up for pre-order. It will only cost you € 329,99
I just got my Thomas in. Looks like he had a bumpy ride over too. Does anyone know what accessories he's supposed to come with? There's an open spot on the styrofoam that doesn't have anything in it and i'm trying to figure out if something is missing.
Inside the box was:
Thomas (of course)
train tracks/flight stand.
Is that it?
Edit: It looks like i got QC34. I'm not sure if it has a wonky knee, though. It looks sort of even... i'll have to look back and see how to spot a wonky one.
Yes that’s it.
Really shows off the glorious paint finish.
So it looks like my Thomas has a wonky left knee. If i straighten the thighs for him to stand up straight the left knee has a tendency to click towards the back one more time. It's proper position would be a half click forward but that's not possible. On to investigating how to fix this....
Could you help me on how to expose the lower part of the knee ratchet like in the first picture? I'm not sure exactly how to get at the lower piece but it looks to be behind a screwed-on panel. I'm afraid to just start unscrewing things, though. I haven't tried transforming him yet either so idk if it exposes itself during transformation.
Any help is appreciated.
Let's be real, opening it up once isn't going to meaningfully affect its resale value. This is fanstoys we're talkin about. Maybe it'll knock like $20 off the price?
Honestly with the scarcity of this particular figure but also what seems to be the relative Simplicity of effectively doing this triple changer I'm surprised nobody else is trying it. There was another third-party Astrotrain that was really nice looking and was just too small. It didn't have the best build quality apparently but it just goes to show that it's possible to make one that looks right in all three modes
Makes me wonder how much they'll charge for the magically appearing 4th batch. 350€? No, I bet there'll be good reason to push it to €370!
May i ask when you ordered the figure? Did you also pay 250? Paid for mine on 10/10 and still nothing...
Yes I paid 250 for mine. I pre-ordered it 22-8.
The 2nd batch was already sold out, when a few pieces came back on pre-order, so I slipped my order through and very glad I got the chance.
The grey paint on the 2nd batch is a bit darker though. I would have liked it a bit lighter and cartoon accurate, but it's still a beautiful piece.
Have you got a 1st run to compare it to? Very curious about the shade of grey you mention. Thanks!
I only have the 2nd batch. So I'm judging from other pics. I could be mistaken.
Even in my own pics his coloring looks different. The flash in the 2nd pic makes him look brighter than he actually is.
But maybe that's the case with people who took shots from the 1st batch as well.
There is no second run of this figure. If you don't have 2 in hand, there is no way to compare colors. Lighting, not just intensity, but also color temperature, will affect the color.
He looks weird being the same height as Motormaster
My bad, meant 2nd batch. Edited.
Thanks for pics. To be frank, it looks exactly like my ‘1st’ run, (batch, or not) whatever... when seen in different light. I think they’re the same paint
This guy is amazing, that’s all that needs to be said. TT couldn’t do better. The mix of matte grey and gloss metallic purple is incredible. Thomas & Zeta Unicron for figures of the year
He's the only figure I have in alt mode too since I love his shuttle the most, what's with the tiny autobot logos tho?
