I did too! Completely a surprise to me! I had thought that I preordered from TCP....but then a few weeks ago found out I did not. I did not think about having one with another company, so I have been panicking and regretting the past few weeks. Glad to have received the email though!

Just watched Paik's vid. Was really hoping FT engineered the ability for the head to look down. The streak of figs without it continues.

Hope you get the chest fixed, because a couple of issues aside, he is an amazingly well done figure.

Got my Thomas in today from Toy Dojo and stickered him up with some Reprolabels! Went with the white background stickers because he's such a dull matte grey color that I wanted the Decepticon symbols to really stand out!

I find it to be unacceptable really, fanstoys really need to pull there fingers out, yeah for a hunk or a roadking i think it's acceptable but those that don't have those box issues it's not good enough

Certainly not qc or assembly issues.
The knee ratchets are for me an annoyance, due to some form of design/mold creation flaw but nothing more. They may well have amended during the run.
The chest screws caused paik to have a breakage, but arent a major issue at all on my copy (i posted a page or so ago how i transform this section), so may well be a bit of a case of your mileage may vary, with a heavy dose of forewarned is forearmed.

It's good these issues are red-flagged even if they're not deal-breakers (or MP-47 plastic:eek: ) as others can take the necessary caution to avoid the risks of breakage.

Other than that, par for the course really.

As with Takara, ultimately these are the kind of issues a second run is all about.

Hi guys, did we find out where the small die-cast parts came from in Thomas that fall out...? Sorry don't have a pic as at work but they have been mentioned earlier in the thread but can't seem to find them atm?

Had a quick look back, the silver bit comes from detailing from top of the train/butt flap, purple bits from wing assembly. Mine didn't come off (yet)

    Parts that fell off :

Quite agree. One of the main reasons i joined (in order to post) was that early on in my collecting i found that reading up on posts highlighting this sort of thing here helped save me no end of hassle in terms of potential breakage/damage points (forewarned is forearmed), transformation tips posted by members for difficult parts, or just helped manage my expectations where a figure had issues.

As to thomas, for my opinion, all the issues ive found/seen/read are definitely not deal breakers (presuming paiks breakage issue is a 1 off in terms of severity) - on the whole this is a seriously well designed and made figure, that makes quite a lot of other figures look very fragile in comparison - probably 1 of the reasons some of the issues stand out so much! (And no fanboy here - i wasnt as 'forgiving' of the poor design of parts of jabber).

I don't think anyone has done this yet so for utter poops and giggles, lets do a side by side with DX9s Chigurghurghur!

    Shuttle!
I freely admit I had a soft spot for his dumpy shuttle mode, not that it was accurate, but side by side, its not good..
    Not at all.

    Train!
Actually DX9 don't do a bad job really on this either, again it's in no way accurate but as a train its got a certain style I can appreciate.
Still loses out big time of course.

    Bot!
Aha ha haaaa, ha ha ha haaa ha haaaaaaaaaa! Get that crap outta here.
Seriously tho, his bot mode was always a bit of a mess, but Thomas utterly destroys it. Its Thanos snap, removed from existence, levels of defeat.

Anyhoo, it made me chuckle doing the comparison if nothing else.

Wow. That really brings it home, doesn't it?

I honestly think this is the first MP, official or otherwise, that I want (but won't!) to own three of so I can display it in all three modes.

These pictures should be instantly resorted to anytime anyone takes a pop at Thomas' alt modes. Ever again. o_O

Just light years ahead of the competition. Seriously. Don't get me started on how Chigurgh looks like Astroskeleton after a quick dip in a smelting pool (or a blender with a T-1000?)

And the rivets on the train mode really make it pop. I agree with Paik, it may unexpectedly be (because I REALLY love the 'bot mode) my fave of all three modes.

Astrotrain: “jettison some weight or we’ll never make it to cybertron!”
Starscream: “my fellow Decepticons, ‘Shuttledick’ says he needs to lose some of his load!”
    (Decepticons start snickering)
    Astrotrain: “I heard that!”

Lmfao. Sir, if TFTM pastiche is your bag (STOP SNICKERING! o_O ) I refer you to a certain parody that may be in my signature. ;)

Just realised this badboy doesn't have clear plastic for the cockpit (no laughing at the back :D ) but it's painted.

Ah well. Literally the only downside I can think of (but believe me, I'm struggling! )

The lack of early reviews other than Paik is a bit baffling though.  Hunk and Dunerunner had dozens in week one.
