I did the same. Baba was responsive about Sheridan via PM, but not so much about Thomas. There's no request for the balance on the website that relates to my order. That link in the email they sent took me to a generic page that didn't have my order number or anything related to my purchase, so I'm waiting for them to clear that up before leaving more money floating around in cyberspace.

 

Depends on a lot of things like wear, temperature, type of friction joint, etc... But if you pose them just once in a while the joints should hold up just fine. Ask in the Rouge forum how the joints are holding up! I know the armatures that connect the backpack to the body get loose quite easily.

By the way, do you have a used G1 toy? Surely most of their friction joints are loose, but I am quite sure their ratchet joints are still fine.

Man I finally got around to pulling the trigger & putting in a preorder. But damn, almost everywhere has preorders locked up. Got mine at Agabyss which thankfully still has open orders.

 

Yeah FT's are a hot commodity here lately. I mean they've always been popular but the last handful of releases have dried up super fast!

 

Which to me is a bit odd given the QC issues I've seen popping up on them, but that's what brand name gets you I guess.

 

Every brand has/had QC issues, just depends on which you want to buy Takara, XTB, FT etc...

 

I am sure there will be an opportunity to purchase this after release. Even if there is no stock after pre-order are filled, they will do a second run at some point

 

I suppose, I just remember seeing less. Far Better than Takara atm, but still, odd seeing it popping up.

 

Still 5 months out and all the pre-order sold out everywhere. I wonder if this is the most anticipated figure of the year or some serious triple dipping or units low on purpose? Who knows.

Astrotrain has more screentime since he's their main transport guy.
Also has 2 eps where he was very important: Blaster blues and god gambit.

Well some of this might be due to the whole pandemic thing. It was Sheridan that convinced me to put a preorder in, since I was vaguely interested in the figure but wanted to see reviews. However, when I looked he was sold out everywhere.

But as I mentioned Agaybss still has open preorders if you’re still looking.

I’m sure Sheridan & Thomas will get another run, just with the current state of things we can’t be sure when that will be.

ShowZ must have added a few preorders, because it was sold out last time I checked.

 

I would say that there’s the FOMO factor. It can be hard to get FT stuff later because demand is high but also because demand is high people are buying multiple figures, perhaps to sell later to make a profit to fund more purchases? Some people buy multiples to have the different modes etc as well so you have to factor that.

I guess it’s seen as low risk purchases because you should be able to get your money back if you want to sell the figure later...

 

Apologies if this has been touched on elsewhere in this thread, but has anyone placed a preorder on this mumma via one of the shrinking number of Chinese eBay sellers, ie Baba or that other one I’m hearing positive things about ( One Day Bid?)?

have used Baba a number of times before, always been very happy, but a preorder on eBay? Seems contrary to advice on here, unless I’m mistaken

 

Really hoping this guy isn’t going to be plagued with issues like Sheridan.
