I hadn't seen any in hand pictures yet on Daimchoc's Facebook page (not following it so that was how I planned to judge it), thanks. But that just drops the future announced new G1 molds from Takara to 0 then. Not very promising.

So, What is the word on this guy? Any idea of release date? Seems like he is as far along at Warpath and Brawn.

 

The release schedule is Sheridan, Hunk, Magnum, Iceman, Thomas so far that likely Smokey and Duneraker come in the fall at the earliest. That is without factoring in the current delay situation.

 

What is shown is similarly far along to Warpath and Brawn now, but it was shown in full color a few months later than they were.

When did Thomas get added? As far as I've seen nothing else has been added for order after Iceman yet. Thomas and Duneraker have been shown to be around the same level of completion so personally I would expect them to be back-to-back releases. As you said ignoring the health issues which may cause delays (simply because we can't judge them well) then I would expect the two of them to be June and July if no reissues get thrown in.

 

Wait, why are you guys showing Magnum before Ice Man?

It's Sheridan, Hunk, Ice Man, Magnum, then.... no one knows.

Likely next 2 based on colored prototypes: Dunerider and Thomas, in no order. After that, maybe Smokey cause he seemed further down then anything else they shown?

 

Honestly I was focusing on Dunerider and got lazy. I know Ice Man and Magnum are April and May (assuming no delays), and didn't stop to remember which order and just went with the Stunticon first since that is how it has been going for the first two from each set. Sorry.

 

Add in at least 2 reissues/repaints after Magnum in the 2nd half of the year. Definitely Thomas flies in and that puts dunerider sneaking cross the finish line by Dec or Jan 2021. Going to be another amazing year for FTs!

They could very easily make this two pieces for individual hip skirts.

Right. Spotter has individual panels (being a small figure like Sheridan and Dunerider). And it looks like Hunk may have individuals also. But then Hoodlum and Jabber both have single panels.

 

Yeah I'm not sure what they're thinking with all these single hip skirts. And I think Dunerider has it the worst because of the shape.

 

I wish they would drop the panels all together and adopt what Takara has done with it's last couple of releases. Maybe we'll start seeing that soon, since these things take awhile to design.

 

Have you read much of the ft jazz thread? There's quite a bit of speculation and zoomed in screenshots that they might just be doing exactly that

 

And maybe FT can take a page out of Takara's play book and start incorporating 'disappearing' hip skirts.
