What type of sticker are you applying, and can you share a link to the "tape method"?

 

It's a pretty simple method, but I'll just quote the post:

As for what decals I use, I use the toyhax cartoon symbols:

And for Prime, Sideswipe, etc (basically, red characters who had a white outline symbol in the cartoon), I use these:

Thanks! I've never used dry-rub decals before. Are they very durable (resist scratching, lifting, etc.)?

 

Well, they are stickers so they might scratch if you're rough with the figure. But they can easily be peeled off and replaced if they ever get damaged or start losing their adhesiveness.

 

Maybe it's water-slide decals, but I thought someone mentioned that a certain type is particularly vulnerable to wear.

 

I finally want a Fans Toys figure and its sold out? Figures.

 

That's sort of their unique selling point

This one seemed to be released in a fairly limited run. Re-issue (i.e., selling the rest of the inventory that they produced in their initial production run) is highly likely.

 

I received a FT not Brawn yesterday and he looks pretty sweet one big hunk of diecast, as he is sold out at most places i tracked one down at Aliexpress! most recent Fanstoys releases are still for sale there but prices are abit higher then retail in most cases, i kinda missed a qc sticker tho dunno why but he feels good love Fanstoys products.

Did you transform him? My qc sticker was on the inside of one of the panels you need to flip out. Can't remember wich though.

 

Throwing those ugly QC stickers in the trash is one of my favorite parts about opening up a brand new Fanstoys figure. If people actually start trying to buy them, I'll enjoy throwing them out even more.

 

Wow that's a big symbol, think he is over compensating for something?

 

No i have not i will look into this once i got him out of his display i crammed him in after fiddling with it for awile, i only transform my bots to get him in robot mode but this one looks simple enough though

 

NOT a downgrade. Perfect. The way it should have been released.

I wish I was brave enough to do the same with mine.

 

Downgrade in regard of going back to the old MP aesthetics, but I get you, thank you!

I hope Fanstoys will release an alternate version for all the people who want it like that.

PS: I'd have liked to paint the green darker, but neither wasn't brave enough to go so far.

 

I don't consider that to be a "downgrade" either. In fact I consider that to be an upgrade. I greatly prefer the original scale model aesthetics and colors.
