Will be buying this guy to replace my Brawny for sure.

 

This guy is great, except for the facesculpt. It could use a rework, the eyes look like he's sleep deprived. Maybe a close-up could change my mind. The feet should also come together a bit better, he looks like he has Alf toes right now.

 

Head is way too tiny

 

Too lanky. Brawn is short and stocky. These arms and legs are too lengthy.

 

He have some issues but I think he's better then Bad Cube Brawny

 

Of all the slides FT showed I thought this one was the definite “hard pass.” Just not better than Badcube in any respect.

As for the others, the only CLEAR upgrades to me are Warpath and Blurr. Everything else is marginally better at best.

 

I’m beating by Monday eBay is going to be flooded with pre-owned badcube brawny for sale. Mine possibly being one of them

 

I like what I'm seeing, and the size. Finally more non-mini minibot options!

 

The proportions on this guy are perfect for Brawn, but the more I look at it the more the feet become an eyesore. Hopefully, there's something to be done there.

 

so what’s the betting line on this release? 2023? 2025?

 

Huh. Wasn;t sold on the alt mode but it's actually pretty good based off the character model. Definitely in for one of these for bot mode. Alt is a toss up between this and Final Victory

 

I could be persuaded to retire BadCube Brawny, given I hate how the chest pegs together. My decision to buy will be determined on whether FT includes an alternate toy faceplate face in addition to the two faces shown above.

 

I like it. Not sure about the facesculpt. Maybe color will help.

Now we need Brawn's "little buddy" to go along with him.

And by that, I mean FT Cliffjumper, not...you know.

The elbows and knees are really broken up too

 

Somebody tell me how i'm going to unsee the camel toe / moose knuckle they put there instead of feet.

I really hope they have some color scheme or texturing to distract from that in the final product.

Having said that, where is the PO?!

 

Fanstoys partially redeemed a lackluster 2018 today with this reveal and the incredible Jabber pics. Both will be bought by me. Hoodlum disappointed me with the terrible head and face sculpt but these two are slam-dunks. Not sure about that Beachcomber yet and the Stunticons are a hard pass simply because I’m in on XTB(and they look just as good and scale better to MP carbots).

 

Wow, Fanstoys is really going downhill. Brawn doesn't look right at all and neither does Beachcomber. Brawn just looks too tall. Too leggy maybe? Not stocky enough. Beachcomber has no neck. Like he's shrugging. Beachcomber looks too buff while Brawn doesn't look buff enough. Neither of these are better looking than the other options by badcube and xtb, respectively (also, xtb did a good job selecting a military buggy that looked like Beachcomber while FT's looks like they just made a generic buggy alt mode instead of using something real world).

Their Blurr is looking pretty good though, and their Motormaster looks phenomenal (even if they did fuck up the Stunticon carbots by making them way too big) so I guess they haven't completely lost it. Still, if I had just seen these pictures without being told which company was producing them, I'd have no trouble pegging them as Fanstoys. They're wrong in all the ways Fanstoys seems to do things wrong.

[Edit] wait, are we sure these are Fanstoys figures? They don't have mid thigh cut swivel joints. Ft always cuts the thighs.

 

If anyone remembers a post on FT Brawn but can't find it look in the Beachcomber thread for posts 10/27/18 and earlier. They were one thread before being split.
