It still is the biggest official TF ever made. The end.
Then can it be:
“The biggest transforming toy ever made” ?
Majority is the one each person thinks is correct.
I said it before, I'll say it again. I'm convinced Mp Cerebros is the key here. Fort Max is what he is based off that. Why bother with an MP release if a major part looks off?
Don't like it then go Titan Returns. Jobs a good un.
Every time I see this I just laugh! I mean, I don't want it! I don't really have any connection to the character, but it's definitely just awesome. The sheer MADNESS that FT is willing to I just applaud them. I Hope it's a knockout success for them!
I agree with one exception. Titans Return version is... not great. It's easily the worst figure I've allowed into my main collection, and that only for lack of alternatives. It's a partial retool of a figure with a completely different transformation and that affects nearly every aspect of it. Even with another $100+ worth of third party addons it still only looks roughly like Fort Max. It can't pull off city mode due to the leg transformation, and many of its play features are half-implemented or redundant. I'll be polite and stop there.
I bought it because I already had Metroplex, and at that point I knew the other two were coming.
That doesn't mean I like it. I don't. But right now it's the only real option. And while I absolutely will buy the 45" one, I also wholeheartedly support the idea of another company doing a smaller version. 36" is probably the max for most people, and even a better designed 22" one would likely sell well.
I'm gonna have to knock out a closet to make space for this thing. Not many people have that luxury.
I swear I am really disliking the instant "Sold Out" in the same pic as "New". I was at work wondering when preorders will start- only to get home to another Showz Sold Out.
Everything goes in a cabinet!
It’ll be available again, the head has already sold out once or twice
I plan to hang it from a crane arm mounted to the roof of my home to wrecking ball it into the skulls of door-to-door salespersons and evangelists like an angry Ewok. When the CSI get to my home and find the bodies, one of them can take off their glasses and say: "I guess these guys met their death.... HEAD ON."
100% marketing tactic to make you panic preorder and order with those sites first.
It's too bad this guy won't get a release next year cause I showed him to my wife and jokingly said, "he will make a great 40th bday present" and knowing her, she'd buy him if physically available.
Did anyone see the body not sold out? Sometimes they dont let u put down a deposit until they have everything ready for that to happen. I'll ask them today
I wouldn't read too much into any preorders yet, Tfs-express have pretty much said its a land grab to try and get ppl hooked, there's been zero solicitation from Fanstoys yet so noone has any idea of final costs yet. They pretty tight with FT too and are always amongst the first to get their stock.
I would love to see a FansToys Scorponok
It means "When you make a project this big as a small independent company, rather than a global corpration, you risk your company's entire existence, but when it cots so much that almost no one can afford it, you don't have a big enough customer pool for it to succeed" make sense now?
This thing is the display cabinet.
Just gonna come in on that Godzilla point, he is one dense lizard, but his body is so durable that it can withstand it's own weight.
That still does not make sense because it's filled with assumptions.
1. "You risk your company's entire existence" Please provide some proofs.
2. "Almost no one can afford it". Price has not been posted. There's only guesses. Unicron comfortably cleared 12K (4K more than the minimal, and that includes people paying the mark up price posted by retailers). When 3P started it was A LOT more expensive than regular HasTak products and people were able to afford them. Not once, but many times. 3P also has never had any goal of selling as many units as HasTak. This project might be one where they can get a break even with 1000 people (I am just speculating, but it's known that a typical 3P run is 2000). Are there 1000 people in the world that can afford this? The Chinese alone can do 500 easy. And if a run is 2000, then yeah the Chinese can afford to support 1000 units easy. And shipping is cheap since it's made there.
Edit: and if FT goes bankrupt doing this, then well some of us would have gone out with a bang right? Absolutely worth it.
Unicron is Chug, FT are masterpiece...... there is no reason for this dumb ass pissing match.
@divinecomedy Your post is filled with assumptions too.
For the low low price of $8000?
