Genuinely smiling at the shock and awe reactions to the FT-40 reveal. This made me feel a lot better about not backing Hasbro Unicron, but yeah it sucks for those wanting the biggest bot ever tag.

If it’s affordable and it can transform, the bigger the better! Though this being Fans Toys affordability may be questionable.

you could always use this as your new work desk. tell me you cant picture how cool that would be. you would either be the king of the office or they will export you out.

i am going to go with the first option for arguments sake. but i really think you should think about it some.

 

The biggest bot tag will still be there as I doubt this would release before unicron, so they’ll have time to keep the tag there, and if we want to go into technicality, technically..... FT40 isn’t officially/legally a transformer, so unicron would still have that tag.

Affordability is one thing but what about the structural integrity of people’s dwellings? With all that diecast, I might have to get additional support beams installed to protect my family.

I always shrugged my shoulders at the guys complaining about the diecast in FT figures. How could I have been so blind?

Personally, I think it looks great, but at that size, I'm out. Firstly, I don't have space for something that size; secondly, I don't want anything in that size; and thirdly, as a Marvel comics fan, it's just too big for that rendition of the character. In the comics FM had two sizes... firstly MP-10 size when he first went to Nebulos:


Then, when he got upgraded, slightly bigger:


Either of these work for me, but not a 3-foot tall (or whatever ludicrous size) FT is going for.

I often wonder how many people here have significant others. My fiance is supportive of my hobbies, but even if I wanted this, there's no way she'd allow, essentially a toy, of this size in our home... and I agree. What's this hobby turning people into, honestly?

I'm in on Cerebros as a standalone though, although I hope he comes with an alternative toy/comic face and a third mode... I believe he was supposed to transform into a mainframe of some sort, so hopefully they could make him a triple changer... should be fairly easy as both that and the hesd modes are just different types of boxes.

Yeah, there's no way that FT would skimp out on a component like Cog. They won't leave us hanging like Hastak did with TR Fort Max.

Looks great, per the usual from FT. I just don’t collect beyond the 86 movie. Will definitely keep an eye on it’s progress though, such an ambitious undertaking.

 

It definitely feels weird to hear people asking for an Undersized KO (US KO?) for the first time.

 

I mean my request is based more on my, at times rediculous, need to maintain scale with MP figures, and grand max should really only be about the size of the titans return figure. The same goes for black Zarak if scorponock were ever to materialize.

I hope this project shows other companies that there is a market for gigantic toys.

 

If they want smaller, HasTak TR Fort Max has them covered. Everybody wins.

To be fair the body of Cerebros are the same in both versions, it's just different colours so no retooling needed there, just a different face needs designing. Ppl might even double dip!
