FT Fort Max is also going to be waaay simpler in terms of parts count. No individual component figures needing their own articulation. Materials requirements could drive up the price. The only major design issues would be the legs to allow for knees and rockers. Arms will not require a lot of work since they just lay flat with ramps over them in alt mode. Waist swivel shouldn't be an issue, I would be shocked if this thing has an ab crunch just because of the weight issues.

Just hoping with a figure this size it has splayed fingers. Will make it easier when I train it to do laundry and dishes

I don't have Hannibal yet but how tall is it actually in head mode?

    838F565D-67DF-419C-9828-5877AE32B54C.jpeg

Because the shoulder pauldron covers half of the head already.

I reckon around 45-48" sounds about right. Especially when you consider Robin's 3d printed Fort Max body printed to a 50" scale where arguably Hannibal looks a bit small.

Here's a 45" figure to the head next to Sovereign:

Unicron is gonna look tiny. It'll literally be around this guys waist/abs It ain't gonna cost $700.

I'm still hoping for two halves at 4-500 a piece. That makes it more manageable.

If anything I expect if it does come in 2 the $700 will be for each part. Makes more sense. Only issue then is international delivery from China on 2 parts would be ridiculous. For Western retailers add a chunk on for their delivery costs and profit and I'm guessing it's gonna be closer to $2k all in.

    Time will tell as always.

I was contemplating this, and realistically a lot of us could afford this...sure, we'd have to save up and skip a few releases, but given the money we tend to spend on these boards, this is doable.

    That's not the issue, IMHO...

It's the space. I mean this thing is gonna take up so much room...it's almost overwhelming to think about how difficult it's going to be to have around.

    12 cm.

But you are right, it may add only half (6cm) after attached.

It’s the guilty. Together with the horror realization that you are decades of years on Earth and still managed to buy a child-sized transformer toy and is putting it into a shiny pedestal in your house.

Lewin Nemesis Prime is 28", and only $345.

Space? If you have a television, throw it out and put Fort Max there...or just let him hold it.

Lion Voltron has not changed how it transforms in 100 years.

And has tons of die-cast and is heavy. I bought a cabinet specifically for fort max. Bring it. Putting back $100 a month just to make sure it's not a budget killer next year

I'm in the camp that thinks Fort Max should have spaces to put speakers and store your remotes in it, complete with connections for all your HDMIs and USBs. Pull his finger to turn on your TV :p

Ahhh, but Blitzway added some features, the most visible being the panels that go over the limb legs to make him more cartoon accurate. There are other tweaks that separate it from say, the SoC release. But again, Fort Max is a much simpler 'bot.

This is the company that, before DX9 forced their hand, priced at nearly $500 a 55cm tall Omega Supreme. At a time when they were selling headmasters for $120 instead of 200. I'd be surprised if outside of Taobao the body ends up significantly cheaper than 1500. I mean, I am probably going to pay around $1000 for the complete Takara Diaclone Great Robot Base that should be around titan size.

I guess those guys that have dedicated display rooms/caves shouldn't have a problem. A 45"+ figure isn't really that much of an issue to display in that case. It does become the focal point but it's not insurmountable. 3 x 45"+ figures might start to become a problem tho!

For the guys who have them out in living spaces? Good luck.

Sorta wondering in any/all of the original gimmicks & features of original G1 will be incorporated into FT's version:

Gasket & Grommet combining to form Cog w/pistol
Both hand held guns - Photon rifle & dual blaster
Working elevator in main torso with ejecting ramp
Concealable Twin blasters on back of each hand
Concealable Twin blasters in each forearm
Jail cell inside one leg in City mode
Sliding vehicle launchers on the ramps on back of each arm in City mode
Retractable cannons on hips in Robot mode
Control room cavity in central tower for Spike in Battle Station and City mode

Man, the original was/still is a lot of fun to mess with!!!!!

Below are a couple of theoretical mockups based on reported numbers. Keep in mind there have been reports of anywhere from 45" to 50" so there is some variation in exactly how they will compare in real life depending on which is correct. Posts quoted below are where I got them from.

It sucks that the only thing keeping me from buying this is having absolutely no good spot for it anywhere in the vicinity of my collection. I guess that’s a lot of people but still.

i just cant in any way shape or form see how i could justify this to my wife. Its bigger than my feckn kids. Not to mention your point is where would you put it. And people would walk into your house and go "wtf is that" and you go "oh thats my assistant Jeremy".

Please note that i am in no way saying this isnt the coolest thing ever.
