I think $1500 is a killer as well. With new prices, shipping, etc I think they are going to try to keep this under $1000. There is definitely a break point here where they need to sell a certain amount and the profit margin has to be reduced. This might be the one time they seriously should consider selling the rest of this directly and dealing with the shipping issues. The complexities of that come down to partners they have around the world willing to ship for them. That's a bit different than offloading everything to Taobao. I probably have to get it through Taobao.

Same here but I do love the Japanese version as well. Still call him Cerebros.

 

Current rumor (was confirmed by a store in Taobao, but after I asked, they removed the comment) is 4000-5000 yuan (630-790 USD) Taobao PO, which, if if follows usual international =2x Taobao PO, would be 1260-1580 USD international.

 

I'm sure FT will do one, if FT40A garner lot of sales. Definately a buy from me.   Then again it will take them years to reveal a prototype of it.  

 

IIRC, this price included the head, so you may subtract the price for Hannibal.

 

I think this sales model may work if they space out the deliveries. People can budget a $500 purchase every three months much more easily than $1,500 in one chunk.

Although the rumors mention it being shipped in 3 parts, I never seen any comment on having separate names.

My understanding is that it will be FT-40 only, but shipped in 3 different parts at 3 different times.

The way David Wise spoke about Rebirth in interviews, you could tell he tried his best to make Cerebros feel like a memorable and meaningful character with an arc despite all the constraints surrounding the episodes (cut down from 5 to 3, and packed to the brim with new characters he had to introduce).

It's a shame that the best character to come from Rebirth will probably never have an accurate MP, unless Fanstoys is somehow convinced that demand is high enough.

 

Yup. If this was the figure we were getting I'd get Cerebros at the very least. Love the Rebirth look.
