That’s what she said...
It's not "cost cutting"... it's called massive world wide supply chain disruption. They are using what they can get.
It's no real excuse but you would be bitching about a 3 month delay to get screws that are 3mm longer just the same as you are bitching about QC due to using screws that are definitely too short. The situation is WAY more complicated than you think. There is no pleasing you. Massive delays for a whole product line or an increase in missed QC of an unknown degree.
I would be way more upset about a toy that fuckin' falls apart in my hands than I would be about them taking a couple more months to make sure the toy doesn't fall apart in my hands.
It's not even close.
The plastic broke, you can see the screw is plenty long enough.
It seems like one person has made the "omg screws too short" the next panacea for all random qc issues.
This seems like a fluke of weak plastic in that spot. Or the user tried to rotate the arm when it was locked into place.
There are random breaks with almost all figures , but it seems like every occurrence with FT figures is now turned into "oh no QC crisis!"
Note - yes, Sheridan has a common widespread QC issue that FT has acknowledged. So far Iceman has had no such common issue.
There's no room for this kind of level headed-ness here on TFW, completely unacceptable @Hoffman. +1 ScrewGate
Since a new member of the Fanstoys Stunticons was just announced I was kinda hoping we would get to see either Fireflight or Slingshot today as well...
Really curious to see how they turned out since the 3 released so far are awesome looking.
1,2,3 we want 4!
What is this? Someone who isn't crying end of the world because 1% have a broken knee joint? Is this the next ERMAGHAD Prime's knees are exploding!!?
I made the post about the short screws in the knees as an awareness to help out others. If you don't like that too bad. It's something that has an easy fix if it is broken or as a preventative measure. I am just aghast at how some people will gatekeep their favorite companies in this community.
Just by Iceman's nosecone. Without that, G1 Superion is only a little bit taller than him
That's cool there's a fan-mode to allow the waist swivel. Too bad it looks like shit with the nose cone so high up.
So BBTS still hasn’t received Iceman yet? Da fuq ...
Thanks, I’d like to say I’m happy with these FansToys figures and supporting the line however in the few orders I’ve placed I’m not confidant I’ll stick around. My Blurr was missing both hip pieces, then Air Raid was missing both guns, Warpath finally came with a detached leg and finally Slag came with some wrecked hips.
I received iceman yesterday and transformed him into jet mode today. I felt like his transformation was pretty straightforward. I fortunately didn’t have much trouble getting tabs in place. For the most part it’s pretty intuitive where the pieces go when you’re going from Robot to jet mode but it may be more difficult folding everything up for the backpack when I go back to robot mode. I’m wondering what the heck that backpack is going to do when he becomes a foot.
That's how BBTS is most of the time when it comes to new releases. It's just something you'll have to be prepared for. If I had a gold coin for every time I've seen a similar complaint I'd have enough to swim in like Scrooge McDuck.
TFsource is like that sometimes as well.
The crazy part is they're supposed to be getting their new FT stock first like other NA retailers before Chinese retailers do.
Meanwhile the Chinese seller I preordered mine from received their stock last week.
It makes sense if they ship by sea or SAL.
In stock nowhere in the normal US channels. I have a feeling scalpers may have bought a good amount of them...
