Right out of the box and after "combiner warring" the legs, I noticed the left leg on Air Raid was horribly gappy at the knee. It was tabbed in properly, but the gap was ever present.

I have seen this knee gap in pictures from others and in one video review, so I think they are over torquing some screws during assembly and breaking these swivel pegs.

Dissasembled the leg to find a sheared peg at the base of the swivel armature. Fans Toys used really short screws on this joint, and its surprising since its so "pivotal" in the transformation. See what I did there? lol

Surgery time. Thankfully I have a bag full of small machine screws from my last trip to Japan.

All the screws were too short or too long. So had to cut to fit a longer screw with wire cutters. Trial run. This might work.

And now bore a slightly larger channel through the broken peg with the new screw:

Great success. Good as new. Well better than new, because it was broken when it was still new.

Interesting. What screws are you using?

You might not have a swivel on your waist you you can turn your torso whilst keeping your feet planted.

Yeah that's because our torso's are flexible. That's why butterfly joints and waist swivels on bots still look weird, because they almost always break the sculpt. Though I do think they should have them.

Each thoracic vertebrae have a movement range of 3 degrees either way and the lumbar ones 2 degrees for a total of ~45° of "waist rotation" to either side.

    These are robots, not humans.

And I've always used the waist swivel on my toys from the good old 80's 3 3/4" G.I Joes to todays SHFiguarts level of articulation. My minimum for posing TF are that they have to be able to do Optimus Flying attack and that requires a waist swivel. Iceman can't do that without breaking up the backpack.

Do those flight stands keep the jets in position stable enough?

Yeah I’m happy with them but the two orders I’ve put in for the stands I’ve had an issue with both. They are burning that bridge with me and I will doing business with another company in the future.

Fourth or so transformation of Iceman---once the joints start easing up, thankfully it's much easier. Easier going to jet mode than vice versa. Managed it without a wing popping off this time.

Anybody else have ever so slightly wobbly hip skirts? It's like the front ones on mine are slowlyyyy coming loose.
