Yep. The bot mode looks much better than the Zeta version.

 

It looks to me like Ice’s shoulders/biceps and thighs are the same pearl as Mav’s while his forearms and lower legs are white.

 

What's with fanstoys not wanting their figures to have necks ?

Very happy with this, they definitely nailed it! (Although it would be even more perfect and streamlined if the knees were all red instead of red and yellow)

 

Zeta is also designed to look like the toy, not the toon. Toy had a messier blockier desing from the get go, it's never going to look as pretty as a toon inspired figure.... Not really sure how people struggle to get this

It's mostly about the size, I think X-transbots did it right by making them the size of the regular Autobot cars (although especially FansToys' Dead End really doesn't look that great). We literally see the Autobots become the Stunticons in the episode "Masquerade" without any size changing, so even the script implies they are the same size as they can pose as Stunticons.

So I'm going with X-transbots on the Stunticons, they nailed the look as well. But FansToys really nailed the Aerialbots so I'm gladly adding those to the collection. And as jets, I have no problem with the Aerialbots being Seeker size.

 

Looking great but I think the FT Stunticons will be way more fun to handle for us that like to tinker with our toys. IMO these guys will be more shelf queens going by how different the FT Silverbolt and MM are on hand. The obligatory accurate to the source cumbersome backpacks won't help either.

Except Windcharger is a minibot. So either way they had to have mass shifting so the argument doesn’t really apply. If Windcharger could make himself taller, they all could. Just saying...

 

agreed there is something off with the stunticon limb bots breakdown almost had it but imho apart from the backpack motormaster looks amazing

these tho i love how they all look ( well what we have seen but the blurred picture of the other 2 look like they got it ) )   i have my fingers crossed that when they get around to the protectobots and combaticons they look as good as these

so you in on these now or just going to admire other peoples?

 

I was starting to lose a bit of interest in these guys. Maverick didn't blow me away the way Roadking did, and I'm not a fan of the finish on Goose. Iceman however looks amazing! This has me back in 100%. On this basis I expect Fireflight and Slingshot will look great too.

 

only thing i'm not liking is the translucant plastic and detailing under it , more is not always better

I'm back in on these for bot mode.

I have Zeta for combined mode, which is great and I like that you can remove the bot's wings to really streamline it, and it's totally stable and looks great.

However bot mode... While I think Zeta edges FT for Silverbolt just slightly in looks... The other members simply blow Zeta away. Not even close.

So...

 

Maybe the limbs because....

I agree. I prefer Zeta Silverbolt but if there's a way to combine these limbs with him then that could be the winning set.

 

Agreed. And looking at the cartoon picture, I like the brighter red vs. the darker deep red being used......I feel it plays better with the all white and a nice contrast again the black. Otherwise the sculpt and look is amazing!
My vote for a more vibrant red please
