Just wondering if you know the arms aren't transformed correctly (the tank treads should not be visible)? I ask as mine came like that out of the box and I didn't realise the white piece could be rotated to cover them for a while.

 

Yikes I did forget to flip those. And I took a photo set with those treads out and about. Face palm.

 

Nice, how much for tilt can you get out of it? Wonder if the same can be done to Hoodlum and all other FT figures with shitty ankle tilts.

Look at the difference in pic # 2, the left side is standard tilt, the right side of the pic is the new tilt with a little more to go...hope that helped!

Now, I just have to paint those mint green wings silver...and I'm done!

So, I have transformed him into Wolf mode and Gun Mode, not sure about the other 3 modes...

Did any of you experience paint chipping in this guys? I still can't get over with paint chipping for my Grinder.

 

I pre-ordered hydra from tf-direct on July 4th and i still haven't got him even though hes been out for a good while has anyone else had this problem?

I would love to see Dx9 Hanzo head cast made for this. really not liking the head sculpt on this. wayyy too Mp-10ish

 

Surely Instruments of Destruction would have been a better fit?

 

I haven't been able to part with my Hanzos or my Fuuma yet. Hydra just isn't quite definitive enough a design for Six Shot to make me comfortable parting with those other renditions of one of my favorite G1 characters. So for now I have to house four MP SixShots.  

 

The Mp-10ish headsculpt, 'A-stance'-like shoulder ratchets(either too wide apart or too close to its hips) & metallic finish are the 3 main things that take away from this being the definitive Sixshot for me...
Wish we could get the best of both Hanzo & Hydra in 1... So close with each one...

 

I took those silly ratchets out of the shoulders, didn't like the "A" stance in the arms either...

 

Did anyone notice that Hydra has only 2 jointed fingers instead of 3, like most other large MP figures have?

FT-29 Quietus, FT-16 Sovereign, and KFC MP products come to mind...

 

I put him into wolf mode last night and was just totally meh. Mostly due to the destination more then the journey.

It’s a character thing. I just can’t get excited about 6 half assed modes. I never got the rear legs 100%, but it was obvious it wasn’t going to look that much better even if I figured out where the inner upper calf hingey plastics swivel filler goes. I lost all interest in the puzzle

 

Say what you want about Hanzos lazy altmodes, the botmode still looks cool and is nice and chunky. If only it had Hydras finish..

 

With all of Quietus's issues, I expected him to sour me more on this figure. I've owned Hydra for a while now and he's still a shelf-anchor beyond compare, he looks pretty much perfect next to Carnifex. He's staying in bot mode for the time being, but it's frustrating that the inferior figure (Quietus) gets more love than this guy. Quietus can barely be transformed without self-destructing, while Hydra just has floppy knees. I don't think I'll be buying anything new from Fans Toys for a long, long time, but I'm glad I got Hydra.

 

after much deliberation, after much deliberation, I've decided that I would only get this if I see it for about a hundred bucks or something like that. I like it better than Hanzo but not enough 2 both buy this and take a loss on selling my Hanzo.
