If the knee is loose, see @Extrazero's posts and pic for the quick fix below:

Yep. Right at 31:27. I haven't heard of anyone else hear cracking theirs like that.

Poor Tigertracks. BSF always slams it on the ground when he's doing the size comparison. In doing so, he makes Tigertrack's gaps even more pronounced. This time even the spoilers are separated.

If you follow a video while transforming him, Hydra is not that bad, in fact he's pretty fun IMHO.

Because he is clean and stylish rather than worn, grimy, and chunky?
    I don't get it.

    Perhaps it's the scenery/atmosphere.

The knees on mine were good right out of the box. Good ol' QC 33.

The knees on mine we're fine too, but I still did some tightening just to be sure.

I also notice that because of the springs in the ratchets, the knees do have that sideways lateral tilt when one applies pressure, e.g. posing him in a wide stance. I hope this holds up with time.

All that said, I'm enjoying the "seventh" mode. It's a mix of the car on the legs, wolf for the head, and tank for the arms.

Whoah! I think this is the first time we've seen Sixshot's seventh mode using Hydra - certainly on here (unless one of the reviews that have been linked to, featured it). Nice!!!

I think there's an option to have the legs formed like in gun mode, but I prefer compacting them into the car form.

I'm pretty sure someone on here posted a version of wingwolf already, as I copied theirs (they did the legs the gun mode way):

    wingwolf.jpg

I suppose I might've seen it in a video review, but I'm pretty sure I was going off a pic when I was trying to figure out how they did it.

Nice to bump into you again @gaseous clay! :D

The 7th mode "Wingwolf" was not seen in any other reviewer's vid that I know of as it's not official. It's like Black Zarak's two headed Scorpion mode and Overlord's Space Jet mode as the animators/toymakers for Masterforce played with another option for the G1 toy itself.

    *Sigh...
Headmasters was fully of downright silly ideas and cheese on an entirely different level than even the US G1 cartoon, and that "mode" was one of the better examples of it.
I mean, it's literally nothing but a badly mistransformed Sixshot not really resembling anything. I've seen fan modes like boat and throne for Sixshot that are vastly better. Hell, Hasbro's so-called Submarine mode that was just the gun mode upside down made more sense. Not to mention it turns Sixshot into Sevenshotbuttheseventhmodeisabigdumbsecret.

I really wish MakeToys cranked out more new Headmasters/Targetmasters so I can display them with Hydra. Oh well, guess it's up you, Fanstoys.

I was taking some pictures of this guy (more here) and had a bit of fun trying to make it look like a third-person RPG/shooter, thought this one turned out nice enough:

Hydra's pretty hard to balance, but once you get him into a pose he's solid as a rock.

Have you found any more hidden issues with your copy of Hydra besides the ones mentioned previously @Destructimis Prime?

Edit: Is the MP Grimmy bartender set glasses too small for Hydra (a la the Masterforce animated series) if anyone has it?

I haven’t had him open that long but the knees were weak out of the package. I took both legs apart and pulled the spring to tighten the ratchets. It made a minor improvement but they could be tighter.

This is another beautiful figure from Fanstoys.

Wow, I ordered from that person as well albeit quite a bit earlier and I got it last month. Before XMas.
