I'm glad to see FT is doing minibots. Maybe they can show XTB how to do them right the first time around.

I'm a huge Windcharger fan and, of course, Cliffjumper needs to be done. I'd be all over a FTs version of either figure.

    Yeah!
Tailgate that has good impact and fun to transform.

Too lean and mean for my tastes. I love ya FansToys, but I think I'll wait and see what BadCube does for this guy.

As good as FT are, even they’ve struggled to reduce the size of his clown shoes. That aside, I like the fact they’ve made him leaner, as I don’t like tubby bots. I would have liked to see him around the same size as Badcube’s Wardog, but unless another really good option crops up, I think this is a definite pre-order.

So… what year are we likely to see this, then?

    Seaspray, eh?

I have very strong memories of the G1 Seaspray toy. I never bought him, but in the 80's I went to all the local toystores at least once every week. And every week, for the first couple of years (at least until the movie toys appeared if not longer) at every store there were Seaspray's. Every store had a couple of them and they just remained there. They were never sold and I just kept on seeing them week after week, month after month, year after year: the backing cards getting more messed up over time and new figures came and went, but the Seasprays remained. Whenever I think of a shelfwarmer, I think of G1 Seaspray.

So, yeah. FT Seaspray. Definitely not getting that one. Don't care for the character nor the design.

But the good news is that this means they might do others that I do care about.

For me it was the reverse. He is one of the ones the memory of getting and having sticks out for some reason. Maybe he had a pretty clean transform mode or something. I don't know and while I don't like him as much character-wise as oh....Powerglide or Cosmos maybe, I still do like him a lot.

Catching up with the reveals here... Love FT's Kup and Omega, but this one is a let down sadly.

I had a bunch of quotes, but there were too many :lol  Basically I'm with all the 'not pudgy enough' toon folks, as if that were a surprise :)  At the moment he just looks too ordinary.

Just some comparisons. Spindrift scales fine with MP Bumblebee, he may be even a bit too tall. But Seaspray definitely was a small bot. His proportions are close. Not perfect if one is looking for 100% toon accuracy, but close. beespray.jpg spray.jpg
But this makes me curious how BC's attempt would look...

Those forearm guns should have been on Grenadier.

Wait....so the shape of his feet can change to be more toy or toon accurate? or is that a trick of the camera angle? Not a huge Seaspray fan,but I'll be picking this guy up if there aren't any better options before he releases,as I need a SS on my shelf.

Looks like different feet to me. Look at the circles vs. ovals of the inner sides.

Yep I think your right. That's a pretty awesome addition IYAM. I just wasn't 100% sure since that's the only shot with the stubby toon feet. Now if the arm blasters are removable(and I bet they will be)I have no complaints,as I prefer the more slender proportions.

Meh. That's fine. I just want a cool looking toy that, y'know, looks like Seaspray.

I always said I have no real interest in the minibots, and that's true, but Seaspray is such a weird little dude. That'll add some nice diversity to the bunch, and that's of value to me. We'll see, if this comes out as a neat cool little toy, that could be enough really. And I've got ToyWorld's Cosmos for my little adorable fatbody. : )

No Alana unfortunately, so really hoping Dr Wu does one, preferably human, bot robot form would be ok too.

Yes, he could be more chubby, but, I still want this toy so much, want him like NEOW!!! Wish they would put him ahead of the big boys.

Someone needs to do Powerglide with Astoria :ev: (preferably Badcube, as mini bots and mini humans are their forte).
