XTB's Locke. We've seen a painted up prototype a few months back, but silence since. Although they have hinted it's upcoming

 

I decided to list mine in my sales thread at $175.

 

So is this guy supposed to be able to roll when in bot mode? I've had mine for a bit and can't see any way to get all four wheels touching. His big ol' belt buckle sticks down too much

 

XTB is making one. Who knows when it’ll be released.

Besides, and I know I’m going to sound like a “FT bro” by saying this (I’m not); but you really can’t go wrong with FT.

There isn’t anything by XTB that I prefer over any of my FT stuff save for the Stunticons (because they’re pretty radically different).

I heard Koot’s transformation is “bad,” but they said Rouge’s was too; and it was laughably easy.

 

ShowZ has it for $160 shipped to the USA.

 

Got Koot in from Showz today. I have to admit he looks really good with the other Fanstoys TFTM bots. I was originally gonna order both Koot and Locke and decide with them both in hand, then sell the one I don't need, but I'm happy enough with Koot that I'm thinking it's not worth the trouble.

 

Is there a fix for the shin on this guy? The wheel keeps pushing the flap open.

I think XTB's Locke is a really good alternative to Koot, assuming it will have good QC.

I think Locke looks better than Koot, but that's natural, it's a more modern figure.

 

Is this the same tail that came with the sharkitons? The color is a bit off tho

 

No. This tail accessory was originally made by @pezley

 

It was modelled on it, I dropped the spikes running down the tail though. The colour is actually pretty much identical. I use these on my UT sharkies instead of the originals because I didn't like the spikes. So they serve two purposes  

 

What improvements did the reissue of Koot have compared to V1? Debating between this and XTB Locke.

 

Improved transformation tolerances was the big one. Not sure how much it mattered or what else they did.

These are selling at ShowZ again. 3 sold today. 7 left. Purely down to the flubbed xtb release, I'm sure.

 

FT will probably do another small scale release of FT-22 just to troll XTB  

 

I'm curious to know how significant or even noticeable the supposedly improved transformation tolerances on the reissue/v2 are.

I never transformed my V1 and sold it when V2 came out. I thought V2 was fun to transform and it was pretty smooth all around. Hope that kinda helps?

 

And... sold out at ShowZ. Here come the price hikes!

 

Maybe Fans Toys will have another release with more movie accurate colors like their galvatron
