I asked dalianjj about this, specifically referring to the movie bots, a couple of months ago and his response was basically, “they were just reissued last year, so nope”. Grab Koot, Rouge, and Apache before their prices get really dumb. We’re probably not going to see reissues until the next movie bot, which might be Scourge (dalianjj was sourcing opinions on him last year). That’s all just speculation tho, so take it with a (very large) grain of salt.

    I think that:
MP-36 was reissued with "better" paint
MP-28 was reissued with "better" chrome
MP-09 was reissued with improvements (not enough improvements, but some improvements)
I think the two Van's were released with better chrome as well?
Was MP Dinobot released again with supposedly better elbows or shoulders or something?

I'm not going to count the plus anime releases because they were explicitly meant to be different releases.

Takara does occasionally do minor tweaks and improvements to figures on their 2nd or 3rd go around, they just don't acknowledge it because that would be admitting that the first version actually had issues.
They've pretty much been forced to acknowledge that Hound had major problems and that the materials they used were a test that failed, so I would 100% expect any subsequent releases to be fixed or at least to use different materials:
    2020 Winter Wonder Festival Information

MP-13 could be more like the MP-03 to MP-06 to MP-07 to MP-11 to MP coneheads etc etc issues where mould degradation gets out of hand and the later releases suffer for it.

I doubt that even Takara would re-release Hound without at least trying to improve things. It costs them too much in retailer returns and bad press to try and ignore it.

You’ll get no argument from me there. But they aren’t quite at FT-10 or FT-16 levels of lunacy, before they finally got reissues. Same thing with Tesla, which will be interesting to watch now that a 2.0 version is on the horizon.

Get it while the getting is good! You never know when dalianjj will decide he wants some of those late taxes going to his coffers instead of yours.

That's why I always say grab FT stuff while they're still plentiful and at regular prices whenever possible.
Worst case, you can always sell it later if you decide you don't want it.
I'm locking in my FT Tesla/Perceptor 2.0 preorder this weekend.

MP-18+ Bluestreak looked more animation accurate, but the quality was undoubtedly subpar to the original.

Ah, well, you got me with the MP Arcee, so maybe we'll get one in the next 5 years. Am confused why it was Arcee and not Galvatron. I mean, what? Has TT gone woke?

Right. My FT Rogue is safe.

Welp, there you have it. Another one. What were the known issues?
I know a great amount of customers cited paint problems with their MP-17+ Prowl.

It feels like there needs to quotation marks or an asterisk or something next to MP form these days. Especially with Arcee.

I can only speak for mine, but there are multiple points that are loose and plastic quality is not as good as it used to be. it just feels like a KO instead of an official product. In case you are wondering, it's not a KO. I did buy it from BBTS.

Honestly, I never would have dreamed it possible just 2 years ago, but Fanstoys feels superior to Takara right now.

Superior in feel and possibly overall appearance, but the "transformers" element of the figures, which is still a big part of the situation for me, is still better executed by Takara at this point. If you like to actually transform and fiddle with your figures, instead of them being just statues on a shelf, Takara offers a great combination of look, feel, presence, and function (in most cases). Three out of the four FT figures I have, I have not transformed yet.

Eh that depends on which figures you have. MP Megatron and Sunstreaker are every bit as complex as anything Fanstoys has put out. Skyfire and Goose are straight forward and I can pull them off the shelf anytime and transform them with no instructions. Megatron and Sunstreaker and now MP 44, and even that Rubik's cube that is Bumblebee I cannot.

Not sure which FT figures you have, but you can't pick and choose the 4 figures that's the most difficult to transform and compare them againsts TT's best offerings.

FT Dinobots for example are super easy to transform. Same with their Skyfire. Compare apples with apples. I mean, I can always just pick MP5 as my benchmark for TT and say every FT figure is easier to transform than that one, but I won't.
