Even Hoodlum's box art is outdated compared to the other releases of the same time period.
Jabber and Quietus have the flat eyes too. If they have moved back to metallic eyes, as the Stunticons appear to have, though the Aerialbots havent... it'd be awesome to add on some metallic eyes we can switch with the old ones.
Ah, ok. Haven't picked those two up yet.
I bought my copy from Composite Ghost. I grew up with the 86 movie on DVD, so having this figure means a lot to me. Hot Rod has one of my favorite alt modes ever, and while this figure doesn't pull it off 100%, I still think MP-09 had the best car mode, when I transformed it, I found myself whistling Dare. It's moments like this that remind me why I collect these in the first place. I wound up liking this one a lot more than I thought I would.
If anyone has a video tutorial on how to do the shoulder install for FT Hoodlum, I'd appreciate it.
I finally grabbed this guy this week after picking up the shoulder replacements several weeks ago.
Where can I pick up these shoulder replacements?
The Ebay seller 'reproarcade' lists them occasionally and he has an account on here too. I don't recall his username on the boards, but if you just go back a few pages on this thread, you'll see people talking to the guy who produces them. I'd either message him on Ebay or here and just see if he'll crank out some more for you.
This link is for his Ebay store: reproarcade on eBay
So I assume that these give his shoulders more range? Is he still able to transform with these?
My figure is still on the way, but every video I've seen where the upgrade kit was installed, the user said that he transforms without issue and that it allows for complete mobility with his shoulders lowered as opposed to the original figure, which basically only allowed for his arms to be at his sides with his shoulders dropped.
Like I said, if you talk to someone else who currently owns it and they say differently, I'd probably take their word for it since mine is all secondhand information.
His user name is pezley.
The seller is @pezley and is based in the UK. Maybe he can point us to or provide a tutorial here.
it's not a video but I dug out my old post. Hope this helps
I found a neck adapter on shapeways, so are there any more upgrades for this guy? I like him, but he NEEDS them.
I'm hoping so. I've read up on a few posts about how to do it, but without the figure in front of me and actually seeing the process, I'm not confident that I could pull it off without any problems.
Has anyone tried to see if the KFC hands for MP-28 could be modded to fit this figure?
I mean, you're basically just taking the arm apart and then putting it back together with the alternate parts. If you can transform a g1 minibot without any instructions, you should be ok without a tutorial
I think you seriously overestimate my ability to transform a minibot without instruction...
From what I can tell, it's three screws on each arm? But maybe it'll become clearer when I have the figure in front of me. But if I end up accidentally stapling this guy to a wall with his arm coming out of his ass, you're going to be hearing from me.
You've got the touch.
You've got the power.
