Do you think they will ever go a Shattered Glass versión? My Nemesis Prime needs a buddy.
Check out DX9 Terror. Cool SG version of their Rodimus figure, goes great next to Nemesis MP10.
I wouldn't worry too much about the color of the shoulder upgrade parts. It honestly isn't noticeable from what I can see.
I don’t know, the idea of shape way parts is great but they stick out like a sore thumb to me.
Maybe it would be fine on a store bought $15 figure but on these high end figures I just can’t do it.
and I really want a neck upgrade
Is they the shapeways part? The neck with the hole in it? Why is there a square hole like that?
Looks good, but now he has octopus arms
In case it wasn't clear, the pics I posted are of the pieces *after* I've painted them. Beforehand they were pink.
That hole is where the ball joint attaches to the main neck piece. Making them two separate pieces is what allows the head to move up and down so it can compact for transformation. Doesn't look the greatest, but the head can be positioned so it's mostly invisible.
Yes, a bit. :/ Pick your poison I guess. I still may try to shave away more plastic so they can sit more flush.
Can you provide what paint brand, color name, application method you used for the paint?
I must say in hand he is great. I hid the tab on his shoulder and was able to get that outward movement on his shoulder. Really nice except his target master which i am afraid to move his legs on sit down position and outward due to the obstruction and no room for movements. Cant wait to get that add on kit for his shoulders
Ah man, looks like my dream of improved shoulders for Hoodlum might be dead. The new shoulder pieces aren't able to stand up to posing & just sorta started to tear apart. This is the second one it's happened to. Luckily Pezley sent four in the package, and the ones that tore are on opposite sides.
But since two have already ripped, I don't expect the spares will last very long either.
@pezley, any ideas for a stronger/reinforced V2 of those shoulder joints?
I wonder if it would be possible for Pezley to submit his design to Fanstoys so they could develop an official version of the piece. Have third parties ever accepted those kinds of outside contributions before?
Hi Tim, what paint did you use on the ABS? Did you use anything to prep it? I'll see if anything might have reacted with the ABS
Ooh... that would suck. I used Model Master Acrylics. Let me know if you think that's what caused the problem! - And especially if there's another kind of paint that would fare better.
Hey, sorry I haven't responded to this yet - I keep forgetting to respond when I'm near my paints. It wasn't anything brilliant though, and the final outcome was not a perfect match: Some red, some magenta, and the tiniest possible bit of black to darken it up a little bit.
That's what I did because I wanted to use acrylics; but somewhere earlier in this thread there is a mix someone recommended for matching the maroon perfectly with enamel paints.
Thanks. I'll take a look.
I'm surprised it snapped that way, the layer lines are the opposite direction and a few in early tests split horizontal along those lines.
Ooh wow. Making sure i wont paint mine 2 when i get it
yeah, @sodawilly used testors magenta and dk red, iirc
Finally got a chance to install mine.
Where can you order this fix?
