That price is quite possible for a CN-based seller given what the cost is on this product, but have the most trusted eBay sellers been discounting much the way they used to a couple years ago? Seems like eBay's mostly been a less enticing deal unless there's an active ebay coupon. Hence the rise of interest in Taobao. =)

He has the visor gimmick I believe we saw it at a convention. Not sure on the saw blade but I thought we saw that too. Edit Yes to the blade.

    Yay on the saw blade.
But I really would prefer a visored face to the Voyager Rodimus face. Given Rouge came with about 5 faces, and given that Hoodlum is specifically made with a face swapping gimmick, it seems crazy to me that they would skip his other iconic face (ie the visor) but include a gimmick face that basically serves to allow the figure to pair with MP-10V.
Also, considering how much trouble companies often have with character accurate faces, the chance to produce a much easier face, where half of it is obscured by a visor, seems like an obvious win to me.
Not a huge deal for me though, as almost all extras just go in a big box.

He has a visor unless something has changed, looks like it flips out of the head.

That’s a relief. I do kind of prefer the Rouge style extra face for a visor as it compromises the head less but that will do nicely.
    Thanks for that.

So after reviewing the proto pictures yet again and fawning over this as I wait for the in stock email and subsequent shipping email. There is only one thing I would change in the paint deco. I would like the flames on the car hood to be a little more defined. Has there been an in the wild picture of car mode? Like at a convention, I can't seem to recall one.

More defined? As in, black instead of dark red to outline them? That always looks terrible/cheap on actual figures, I'm very glad they did NOT go with stark black flame-outlines.

Not a black line, just a deeper cut for the flames. The first looks good, the second like a tiny nipple

Then we just need them to make an Ultra Magnus that isn't such a chunky boy.

Boy this thing can't be released fast enough. I sold both of my TT Hot Rods for this guy.

So, if he's coming out next week, don't we usually have someone overseas or else where who has an early video review of the figure? I hope this is not like a movie where no access to a pre-screening usually indicates a bad movie. Although I'm sure plenty of good 3rd party figures have dropped without pre-release reviews (fingers crossed).

IIRC release without prior reviews has been the FT method for quite a while now. I may be wrong but I don't think we often see stuff from them before it's out.

Fans Toys sends their first run/first stock to the USA. Overseas doesn't get their stock till the next run or second batch of figures. As for review samples Fans Toys has not been sending any out since I think Phoenix. That is the last one I got anyway.

Ah, more "flame-shaped/extreme"----that I agree with. They need "deeper cut-outs" for the middle/rear ones.
