That is beautiful work...and exactly how MP Hot Rod should look.

*Disclaimer - at least for many of us who want a MP scaled, cartoon accurate, bot mode Hot Rod.

We most likely won't get all of the changes but at least changing the headsculpt, and exhaust pipes would move this from the back burner to a must-have for me personally.

 

I prefer the rounded head, and I'm not convinced that the shoulders can't be swung lower anyway.

 

That looks a thousand times better. I would be fine with FT delaying the figure if they could fix the aesthetics a bit more.

 

If FT release this as-is i will buy it in a heartbeat. The collar look is a minor nitpick but i don't see what all the outrage is about for the arms, etc.

 

The new head and the smaller exhausts make a hell of a difference...The shoulders i dont reall mind....What needs MAJOR improvements though is the vehicle....A crap ton of things need to happen there

 

Goddamn!! I think I'm in love with that digibash ... I might have to pull a Deadpool and just print that digi out, then staple it haphazardly over MP-28!  

 

To echo others, that makes it Hot Rod, instead of something like Hot Rod. Hopefully FT can make at least a few adjustments.

 

That ps'd digibash version would be an instabuy, addresses all the problems I have with the prototype. Great job.

Aside from the more obvious things like the head sculpt and the size of the exhaust pipes, yeah. All three of the images there that aren't the FT prototype look more alike than the FT prototype does to any of those three.

Man, the more I look at this version of Hot Rod, the more I want to buy it over MP28.

And I kinda think dropping the shoulders would be super easy what with all the joints there....but what do I know 'bout toy engineering. lol

 

The PS version looks MUCH better. If FT can get that to work it's goes from a "hard pass" to a "let's see what the final prototype looks like". The one backpack shot we had it looked bad but could be forgivable.

 

They better not change a thing. It looks pretty awesome. The changes some people have suggested make it look worse to me.

 

While I'm fine with the way the current prototype looks, I have to say, these small changes make him look significantly better!!

Amazing job! I hope FansToys can make these adjustments. They really do wonders to improve the look of bot mode!!!!!

 

Looking this over, I am SO happy I passed on MP-28. I can understand the changes people are asking for, but personally.. I'd be happy with him as is, as long as he's close to the colors of that photoshopped image.

 

This is amazingly beautiful and would bring tears to Hasui's eyes. Very well done!

Now, let's apply some of this amazing fandom creativity to helping springer's legs and blitzwing's crotch region. Both those figures are a tweak or two from being absolutely perfect and on the same level as sovereign.

 

That's why I sold my MP28
