How many FT-16M did they make?

 

Don't know. Not disclosed, but their regular run size has increased that's for sure. Quakewave was their FIRST figure. At that time people were like "FansToys who?"

I have to think they did at least 2000 for FT-16M.

 

Yeah I remember when he first came out. There was a lot of extras sitting around. Crazy to think they possibly made 2k of FT16M tho. Is there a thread where they keep the stats on these sort of things? I'd be curious to know how many figures were actually manufactured per release.
I also remember the limited edition of clear quakewave that was only 800 made that is still in stock

Talking about limited, they also only made 500 of the Terminus Giganticus repaint. The difference is in both cases, dalianjj never made a statement along "these things are NOT limited".

 

It's still possible they can produce a figure in quantities of 500. It doesn't matter if the product made is labeled "limited" or not, they are able to produce in a batch of as little as whatever the factory sets as the minimum. Whether FT decides to produce at the minimum or to produce more and stock some away for a future "re-issue" is up to them.

Separate thought:

All MP insecticon sets are basically out of stock these days, aside from the MMC Reformatted quasi-MP set. FT could do a run of 3-packs and probably sell them quite well.

 

more stirring up the bullshit, it's a short run because of a gap in the schedule, not a limited run-as in this is it and no more after this, they have stated several times that they will be doing more short runs of these as the factory schedule permits. I don't understand why it is so damn hard for some people to understand, the rep said this several times already but you have the shit stirrers that constantly have to play games and push their unfounded opinion as fact.

 

I think you have misread my point. In general my policy regarding FT is always "grab it when I can and if I can afford", so my point is rather than relying on the potential future release for FT-16M, I will just pay off my TCP pre-order. I opted out and not paying for my FT-29T preorder with a hope to grab it later but so far it is hard to tell when it will be re-released again.

 

The Bad Cube bugs were recently reissued and are still available from Show.z I think most people would prefer the FT versions though.

FT-29T is still readily available on TaoBao. A quick search returns 40+ sellers. If each has 2-3 in stock, that's 80-100 units that must be sold before they are willing to take in a new batch. In other words, don't hope for a re-issue in the near future.

I expect FT-16M to be the same. Pre-orders sold out impossibly quickly, but will be available at retail -- at MSRP or higher. If you pre-order the second batch of FT-16M instead, it could be a long time coming.
