I was having that issue when I was transforming him in bot mode incorrectly. It's really not documented well in the instructions, but I was trying to wrap one of the two insect legs per side, inside his torso going to bot mode. The correct way (I think) is to have both legs flat and on the outside of his back. Forcing one of the legs inside was putting pressure inside the chest cavity which was somehow effecting the head joint. Mine became noticeably looser and wobbly which disappeared once I swapped the insect leg position. Hope that helps.

Just got mine in. Antennae are annoyingly bent in horribly odd positions right out of the box? Any tips to straighten them? Maybe a hair dryer?

I don not like the head. The fake head keeps the top of the face from closing 100%. (well you can see it if you are looking upwards at Kickback's robot face). The "helmet really doesn't snap into place and kinda just hovers there, so every time I got to pose his head, I have to fiddle with the helmet and move it back into position. I have seen face swaps implemented 10x better than this.

The face kind of has a grimace that I don't like and the silver bits on the sides of his cheeks should not have been painted silver, IMHO.

    Other than that... Perfect !!!

Just let it be for a while. Mine sort of remembered its original shape in a few hours.

I have been having that same issue... just read back a couple of pages. People are suggesting it does close... gonna try it when I get home tonight.

it does. just make sure the bug head is laying perfectly flat (horizontally) within the top of its head. you may have to muscle it in there a bit further (twss).

the top of the head still wont lock down or anything even when you get it right (which kinda sucks) but at least that gap will be gone.

If you have the gap in the head above the eyes, you need to push the bug face further back up into the head. You should hear a click when it's all the way back, then you will be able to close the head completely and have no gap.

This ---^ It was a pain for me initially also, but once you get that bug face plate tucked back in there properly then the top of the head will lay flat on top of the proper robot head.

My understanding was because the plastic one on Grenadier was breaking on many figures.

I have tried this so many times. The insect face is back as far as it will go, and there is still a gap.

Waited a few hours. No dice. Maybe it is very humid where you are a the moment.

Took action. Applied standard procedure to realigned warped non-thermoset plastics:

Pulled the antennae out very carefully, boiled some water (1 cup for 3 minutes in a low watt microwave) inside a glass measuring cup. Let the antennae sit in the water for two minutes, knocking bubbles off with a chopstick (something gentle would work).

After two minutes I strained the Antennae, and quickly while holding them straight ran them under cold water.

They are perfectly straight now !!!

Now to work on that top of the head gap.

Did you hear a click when you pushed the head back?

There is no clicking when rotating the insect head back. There is nothing for it to "click" into. Now when I close up the back the the robot head, there is definitely a click because there is a tab fitting into a slot at the top of the head.
