Same with the head. What a dumb design. The top of his head won't lock onto the robot mode face so you get this gap between the top of his eyeband and the "cap". I can't believe they didn't make the helmet tab into the faceplate. The slightest motion other than perfectly left and right makes the top of his head lift off.

You haven't fully pressed the bug face into the helmet. Open the back of the head and ensure the bug face is all the way back and then close everything up. The helmet should then sit nice and flush with the bot face.

I pushed it back as hard as I could and that helped a little but there's still a gap. It's almost like the recess behind his eyes on the faceplate is not deep enough for the bug faceplate hinge to nest in. Could be just a tolerance issue on mine. Regardless, the lack of a locking feature for his helmet is pretty silly.

Got my Forager/Kickback yesterday. Great figure, as are my other Insecticons.

Did you actually open up the head at the seam and push it back? I had the same issue until I read others also had a similar issue and noted that the head opens to both push face all the way back and to bring it forward for bug mode.

I got mine and seems to be no issues! I bought some dry graphite and squirted it in and have had no problems.

My Forager came in yesterday, so I just opened the box this morning, but still haven't played with him yet. Any QC issues I should be on the look out right now? I saw a warning insert about the shoulder…

Also, did anyone else receive a unpainted face? My figure has an all-silver face (no painted visor!).

I know this is going to sound stupid but you aren't talking about the "bug" face are you (solid silver, no features)? Mine came with that face showing and I had to flip open the head and flip out the robot face and fold that one in.

If you have a robot face with no paint at all, that would be a first, at least that I have heard of it.

Okay thanks! Like I said, I haven't even played with the figure yet, so I'll double-check when I get home and can sit down.

EDIT - Phew! Yes, it was the insect mode face! Thank the Heavens!

Though I am hesitant to start having to lube up my toys, I decided to pull the trigger on this guy. Not a huge Insecticon fan, per se, but I loved Grenadier. As a kid, Kickback was always my favorite of the three .

Ordered him along with MP Tracks (and Ratchet), so if popular opinion is any indication, Forager won't (at the very least) be the most disappointing fig in this haul.

looks like it's water based instead of silicone, so no, I wouldn't recommend using on this toy.

I'm sure your significant other would appreciate it being applied to other toys though :lol

I received Forager yesterday, and to be honest I'm a bit disappointed. His head is super loose, it flops around like a bobblehead. His front chestplace is incredibly loose as well, it won't even stay up.

Has anyone else had these issues? I imagine I could fix the chestplate by tightening the screw that holds it in place. Don't know what to do about his head though =\
