I got mine but haven't transformed it yet. Did yours break while trying to undo the clasp?

 

Still waiting on mine but thats still a worry. FT dropped the ball on this i feel, and as a guy who likes to mess with his bots I am apprehensive about this.

 

No, it just seemed to pop off while I was rotating it round and trying to get enough clearance for the shoulders to slide out.

I did exactly the same with the right shoulder after I'd already successfully done the left, but it failed.

Fortunately the clasp keeps it all held together nicely, even though it's broken.

 

wait the grenadier part isn't diecast? thought it was supposed to be.

TCP already sent me a plastic replacement part a few months ago, so no real use for another plastic one. oh well, a backup I guess?

my grenadier head turret only broke the first time out of the box because the plastic was not molded correctly. it didn't seem like it was a widespread thing but maybe others were less vocal about it. the replacement I got from TCP was correctly molded so I haven't had any issues with that.

 

Is it an option to simply remove the clasps on the shoulders so they don't break? I don't really care if there's a gap back there.

So just rotating the chrome parts breaks it? That sux, guess i'll never transform this figure.

The rotating piece is very stiff (it has to be to hold the wings in place), but the downside it that in order to rotate it you have to exert quite a bit of force onto very small and fragile pieces.

 

I wonder if applying a little dab of plastic safe lubricant before the initial transformation would help? Mine should be in tomorrow, starting to get nervous about transforming him.

That might help. Because the collar is so tight, the rotation is not smooth as well... it jumps and sticks.

Stomp shipped AZ to CA via usps 2 day last night and Forager coming WI to CA via FedEx smart post shipped this morning. Gee, I wonder which will get here first, lol.
