    Badcube makes the other set of insecticons. You're right about the price - all 3 (the set) can be had for $160 or so. Materials are a bit weak but they're pretty good in their own right.

    Apologies if you were responding to my inquiry, but it was in regards to the non-FT 3P Shrapnel in the photo I forwarded, not the prior comment.

    I was thinking some 3P Insecticon set got bad reviews— was it MMC or Fansproject?

    FP had a couple of issues, but I think at this point they can just be considered a product of their time 8 or 9 years ago. MMC had at least one significant concerns (one of them broke in half for several people), but were also very cheaply priced IIRC. I think I got all 3 for $100 at US retail not on sale.

    MMC was somewhat poorly received as far as I remember. You should go to the BC insecticon thread and ask around there about the set.

    Just picked up Shrapnel on eBay for a pretty penny, but looking forward to getting him. It's the 2021 reissue...any concernes I should be aware of?

    Yeah, it’s a little heavy on the electrons
    But in all honesty it’s been fine from my experiences. Transformers it multiple times, no issues with chrome falling off, or anything breaking

    Replacing a broken insect leg on Mercenary….I did not find a way to turn the part (see arrow), so I was required to do a bit of creative use of tools.

    So Mercenary arrived last night and oh my god he’s my new favorite thing. The first Fans Toys figure I’ve purchased and I can immediately see why they have such rabid supporters.
