I love Badcube but this pic highlights how off their design is.

Based on those pics/silhouettes, looks like FT's designs won't be as squatty as BC's, which seemed to be the most outspoken issue with BC's insecticons. Yup, FT and BC are 2 of my fave 3rd party companies right now. Will be a hard choice. Kinda weird, FT vs BC seem to be generate a harder side to choose as oppose to FT vs GP.

 

Bombshell looks fantastic. Might have to free up some space on my shelves for him and his compatriots.

This isn't even close. I've never liked the dumpy/stocky look of tge Badcube ones. Proportionally these look far superior.....just look at the silhouette of Kickback......

Fanstoys are doing what we all want TT to do and that's to ramp up releases. Fair play to them.

 

Looks good, but again with the unrealistic release date. Atleast they the set a date for Reflector all the way in September and that has three of almost the same mold.

 

Also why does this have alt modes and different poses, while Reflector and Perceptor is standing statues in all shots and no alt modes yet?Hmm.....

 

I think with 3P MPs, due mainly to budgetary reasons, I am sticking with Fantoys. For me, their trackrecord has been great, and these look better than Badcube's take. Didn't think Badcube's were terrible until someone brought up the thread that certain MP style figures look like upsized classic attempts, and I can't get that image out of my head when looking at theirs.

Just hoping these are a little cheaper being smaller bots.

 

Would you mind giving us an updated release schedule? Right now it is all over the place. Is it safe to say we will not see any more dinobots until October?

 

Clear chest panel option. Its like looking at g1 but complex. Compared to BADCUBE version it looks like it is able to pose better looking at thighs. And overall just wins in every way. BADCUBE effort is still a prototype so will not count them out just yet. Definitely a tough market for 3rd party WARS.
Look forward to more speculation on this awesome long awaited transformer toy and his partners in crime.

I think it was just a matter of time until 3P companies start pruducing the same characters. Somehow I knew they were releasing this after Reflector.
I was just surprised that Badcube came up first.
What speaks for Badcube is that they seem to release a set of 3. FT will release each individual with a few months inbetween.
Both designs are really good. I think BC made the better cartoon accurate look of the upper body, while FT designed the much better legs.
FT figure looks a bit like a updated G1 toy. Altmode on FT looks better.
It's really hard to tell with which version I will go.
As we had multiple Insecticons in the toon, I will maybe buy both, and keep one in altmode...
