Anybody know where I can find a reasonable priced purple chested Bombshell?

Contemplating buying this set Fanstoys FT-12 GRENADIER(Gray Chest), FT-13 MERCENARY, and FT-14 FORAGER Set reissue , but I'd rather have the purple chest on Bombshell.

Finally got a set! I'm really enjoying them.



After hearing about possible issues with Forager, I was surprised that Grenadier had the most issues. One is this floppy heel spur. Anyone have issues with it? I will probably just stick some floor polish on it but wanted to check here first.

I also have some paint chipping out of the box on his ankle. Not the worst thing in the world, but for the price of these guys, it really shouldn't happen IMO.

 

Of course you had to pay more. You got the elitist one instead of the peasant purple. Go back to your Grey Poupon and stop complaining!

 

Actually when I bought my set, the grey version was slightly less expensive at “only” $400. I think I might have preferred purple otherwise, but I’m trying to convince myself that this is the “Grey Poupon” version now.

Same, but I wanted the purple one. So I ordered that separately from RobotKingdom.
Now I have a grey one to sell.

Finally heard back from FT on this, and they have no spare parts left. I asked about what paint they used, or, any recommendations since this looks like it will chip further.

Beware buying new old stock.

Maybe I'll strip the paint from the feet, get some Tamiya black pearlescent, and paint them myself one day.

 

Any word of FT, reissuing them? Aside from the initial release, they have spare parts available whenever they release reissues.
Also I think this set deserves a 2.0 release with mold tweaks and no problems.

 

No news that I've heard, I agree some tweaks would be nice but overall I'm pretty happy with them.

Slight update on my chipped paint. I asked FT what paint they recommend (hoping for something specific), but they just replied "any black paint will do". Great.

 

Only recently did stores start selling out on the reissues, and that was after they began splitting the set and selling each figure individually. I don't think Fans Toys will reissue them any time soon.

Was the set you nought new or used?

 

New old stock, it was the set of 3 on sale at Terry's back in December. So yeah, it was on sale, but, the sale was because it was older stock and not specifically due to the chipped paint (which others didn't have issue with).

2.0 versions or fixed would be welcome to this (otherwise beautiful) set.
