They've had multiple credit card leaks over the years and its become more and more well known that they bully 3rd party companies into raising prices for other stores. They pretty much threaten to not carry the product so the 3p has to make every other store, even Chinese stores, match American prices. Its the reason shit randomly jumps up in price all of a sudden and why you see tfsource's prices way higher. People want them to fail so our hobby doesn't just keep going higher and higher in price because of one money hungry store.

They are nothing but money leeches hiding behind a friendly facade.

 

nothing really. it is just some people dont like how they do business. but at the end of the day it is their business and they can run it however they feel. they can say what they want about them. but there is no denying that TFScource is one of the main reasons 3p has such a strong foothold here in the states.

Exactly. People are so quick to point out the Late Tax but when collectors or fans are doing it deliberately to each other I wonder at how little empathy there is in some people...

I’m glad I got on the last reissue of Phoenix. He’s an nice figure but if it wasn’t Fans Toys I doubt I’d have picked him up, as he is damn big and has limited articulation. Lovely looking though...

 

For those who don't know, preorder.tfs is the UK site and ex.tfs is the Chinese site. So those who are non UK buyers should hit that one up, or you'll pay UK import fees wrapped up in your figure price.

UK buyers who miss the UK stock can then run the customs gauntlet by buying from China if they wish

My Credit Card info got stolen from TFSource also. Never gonna use them again. How about BBTS? Not sure how you can justify doing business with a company that constantly has security breaches, but to each their own.

 

a credit card breach is a breach. but that is why the CC companies have fraud departments and stuff...that is neither here nor there.

but i do feel for the guys who got hit from them and RK. these days i just use paypal for stuff since i know they will reverse the charges and shit at the drop of a time.

 

Take it there's no indication of the UK price yet for TFS Express?

The last couple of times they've had the pre-orders going up I've been lucky, even if I've balked at the price a bit a times when it showed on screen (Sovereign, in particular). I suspect this is a case of I can't really afford to buy it, but given the resale market I really can't afford not to buy it  

Guaranteed Downbeat and Sideshow's Baby Yoda will move to 'pay up' time the second I add this to the cart, if I get the chance to.

ShowZ has stated that XTB informed them that TFSource has threatened to stop carrying XTB products unless Chinese retailers raise the cost of XTB products so that those Chinese retailers pricing will be less competitive compared to TFSource. It has also been floated around that some other American retailers have made the same threat to XTB but TFSource was named in particular.

 

Even at limit 1 per customer, BBTS sold out quickly.

 

ShowZ has Phoenix now. $299 with min $100 deposit.

 

I was waiting for Baba, just in case I have already pre-ordered it in ShowZ, I think they have raised it more compared to the other stores

Wow the price gouging on this reissue is unacceptable. Watching as tfs quantity gets below 10 and they jack up the price to $299. Then showzstore opens up their preorders starting at $299 after all USA retailers sell out. After the figure hits shelves we’ve been giving a pass, now it’s happening at the preorder, just shameless.

 

The owner of a small local store that usually carries FT figures told me they cancelled their Thomas order que had placed months ago, and they are not selling to him in bulk anymore. My guess is that they are selling to more profitable customers, its a business and that makes sense I guess, specially if you are selling everything you produce in a matter of hours.

 

Not to mention they've also been caught red handed holding back stock then jacking up the price after it sold out.
