Just opened this guy and I know people say a ton of hyperbole around here but this is one figure where I really don't think that Tak-Tom/Hasbro will ever top. Like ever.

 

I just got mine today and I don't know if you guys are aware or not, but... He's really big.

 

Indeed... he has thrown my shelf into chaos  

 

He's even bigger than I thought! What an awesome bot. This was my first Fanstoys purchase and I got to say I'm impressed. I already have Omega on preorder and I'm even more excited for him to come out now after seeing this size and level of quality.

He loves this episode. Can't imagine why. He is rescued from the ice by the Decepticons only to be left again in the ice and forgotten without so much as a small rescue attempt by the Autobots?!?

Those were the days. I used to rent them from the video store down the block and have them copied with whatever else I rented. I had one in particular that I watched the crap out of. Had one episode (don't know the name, but prime needed a part so the gang had to go to Wheeljacks lab on cybertron,and two episodes of Denver the last dinosaur  )
It's the only VHS I have of G1. I watched it last Saturday morning for nostalgia sake in anticipation for Phoenix to arrive

lol the cosmotron! Back like 15+ years ago, I had bought a big bootleg collection of all the TF episodes in mpeg format on CDs lol... this was before they released the seasons on dvd. You're gonna love playing with Skyfire tho, he's almost as fun to just sit and mess with as MP36.

If I had to toss together an in-universe explanation for the pics, I'd go with after. He's contemplating all the stuff that's happened, his destroyed friendship with Starscream, and so on. Nothing like a little booze to get the thoughts going.

 

Needs a black and purple repaint to go with that booze.

 

My Phoenix is getting prepped for shipping by Toy Bento and I wanted to know what size faction symbol fits on his chest. I have some Autobots but no Decepticons decals so need to order some, want to be prepared and slap them on straight out of the box.

Across the top, the widest point, what size are people using to fit the raised space? Oh, and I'm in Aus so feel free to quote in millimeters or centimeters  . Thanks!!

 

I need to get a new stand. He's causing my homemade stand to buckle.
I've transformed him four times since getting him this afternoon. The transformation is fun. I just worry about the leg connection tabs over time. They seem like a bad idea in the long run, hope they hold up over time.
Again awesome figure.

 

@Destructimis Prime, I actually felt the same way when I transformed him... those tabs there worry me but the plastic and diecast seems to be robust. But only time will tell. Great figure so far.

 

No repaints currently planned.

 

Especially if that Fembot was a triple changer
