Ah, see, you're conceding that they don't match. You should change it to "I love my smoking hot girlfriend but she wears red socks that aren't the same shade of red as her top." It's not the same as not matching. I think it would look too plain if they made it exactly the same throughout.

OK, the Phoenix face sculpt may not be spot on, but it captures more of the feel of the character. The Other just feels cold and without feeling.

 

I will buy this figure regardless, but I do think that if they have the chrome red parts on the legs they should have a replacement pieces in flat red to match the backpack red.

I guess I would still be interested if all of the backpack was in red chrome, but I feel both should match.

Personally I would prefer the backpack red. Maybe we will get replacements??

 

To be fair a giant 22-26" 11-12 pound Figure isn't gonna be super poseable, and it isn't like Omega was some nimble bot. He was a BRUTE, a guardian robot remember. We've already seen images of him in some fairly dynamic poses though.....But go on trying to find reasons either not to buy or simply bash the figure.

 

Well I got a 20 inch Devastator that can rotate his waist, so go on and find more reasons to defend lazy designs....btw already got this ordered.

 

Nah, no problems with the red chrome.

I do dislike the plastic red of the backpack and wish that they'd use the same red chrome colour on that.


(Size remains my issue to hesitate on this gorgeous, solid Jetfire figure that I always wanted.)

 

For figures such as this one, or mp Laserwave, what if one were to paint most of it with pledge floor polish? It self levels, so no visible brush strokes. And it would give the figures a glossier more 'premium' painted look.

Notice how he left just enough of the leg out the pic to avoid showing the red. If he didn't, this pic would be ruined, 1000s of preorders canceled.

I actually like the red, same as I did on transistor. If it's also on the backpack, that's cool too but if not, I still like it.

 

I am temporarily blinded by all that chrome.

Me too, your point? I'm saying you're all like it won't have waiste articulation and this and tht before you even see the toy. And lazy designs? Alot of their designs had crazy engineering, so I task you with creating a better toy. I figure it doesn't have a waist articulation outta necessity, I don't think daca toys Kronos had waiste articulation either, seems like kind of the nature with skyfire, and I don't think it'll bother ppl tht much. Remember mp ultra Magnus? I thought his lack of waiste articulation would be a deal breaker, nope he's still a pretty solid figure. And Phoenix honestly seems to be a better figure

 

I hate chrome, it ends badly. Check the last couple pages of the Scoria thread for what the chrome will be like in a couple years. I'd prefer the red plastic or metallic red paint over the chrome.

 

i'd prefer red plastic to chrome on the legs..... maybe fanstoys can include both so we can choose what we want on the legs ..win win
