Honestly, they could have kept the waist the way it is clipped on, but engineer the middle part that can be pulled up like how Hot Toys and Bandai SOC can pull out the legs to be able to have more thigh movements to give him a swivel.
FT surely is capable and not just designed this and said good enough? Even the foot area could have a seperate piece like Kronos to give him a deeper ankle tilt.
If this is their lazy design direction in large bots, I don't know I how I will feel with a statue Omega Supreme.

 

Yeah, plans change during production I'm sure. Lupus had those tabs on his sides that just wouldn't reach the corresponding slots. Definitely looked like the original intent was to have them slot together.

 

Agreed. And the metallic red isn't even that noticeable either. Cannot wait to add this beauty to my collection. He'll be the one to break my FansToys cherry.

Taking another look, can the toe section be push in line with the part of the foot it's attached to so it doesn't block the thruster? The bottom part under the thruster is what takes away from it IMO.

 

Doesn't look too bad to me. In fact, as bulky as Skyfire is, he looks like he could use some extra thrust.

You didn't transform Sideswipe's calves properly!  

That step almost always evades me, so it's something my eyes are always drawn to on every picture I see with the lambor molds in it.

Lovely picture this is looking immaculate, May/June can't come soon enough.

 

Yeah, I'll reiterate that I think the toy still looks like a great value for the size and looks.

But not coming up with an interesting solution for waist articulation (don't forget, you'd still have to move the backpack out of the way), or better ankle tilts seem odd on an FT figure of this size.

Despite that I'm still "Pro Phoenix" it is a turnoff, considering nobody else is likely ever going to right those wrongs.

 

Any word yet if they're going to normalize the red/chrome red discrepancy going on before release?

 

Are people seriously writing this off because of the red chrome leg pieces? That's like saying " I love my smoking hot girlfriend but she wears socks that don't match the rest of her outfit.."

 

No in fact the last two pages have several people commenting that it's not as bad as originally thought.
